History

Charles Edward Breese qualified as a solicitor in 1889. He was a member of Caernarvonshire county council and, from 1918 to 1922, was Liberal member of parliament for the county. He served as army major during the Great War. Breese was also an enthusiastic antiquarian, being appointed work committee chairman of the Cambrian Archaeological Association and, in 1930, one of its vice-presidents. He died in 1932.
