The Burchinshaw family lived at Plas Isa, Llansannan, Denbighshire. The Roche family, originally from Brecknockshire, were involved in managing the Tremadog Estate and Porthmadoc Harbour, Caernarfonshire.

The papers passed to the Libraries Committee of Liverpool City Council.
