Copy Will of Dame Bridgett Lloyd of Ynys-y-Maengwyn, co. Mer., widow. Desires to be buried either in the churchyard of Towyn, co. Mer., by the grave of her [first] husband Robert Corbett, esq., or in the church of Llanvaire [Clydogau] by the grave of her [second] husband Sir Walter Lloyd. Bequeathes £10 to the poor of p. Towyn and £2 to the poor of p. Llanvaire. Devises to her daughter Elizabeth the wife of Walter Lloyd of Llanvaire, gent., m's called Brynglase, Tythin Vagwyr Vawr and Gwergodd Vawr, p. Towyne, for her life and thereafter to her eldest son Vincent Corbett, m's in the tenure of Margaret Swaine, widow, and John William Pugh, p. Towyne, to her grand-child Jane Phillips, daughter of William Phillips by her daughter Bridget, his late wife, for J.P.'s life and thereafter to V.C., a m. called Tyre Bryn Ffynnon, p. Towyne, to her grand-child Corbetta Lloyd, daughter of Thomas Lloyd, esq., for her life and thereafter to V.C., and all those lands in p. Towyne demised by her late father Sir James Pryse, kt, to his reputed son Evan Pryse [see NA82], a m. called Cornell y Parke, p. Towyn, and a m. in the tenure of Owen John Arthur in t. Mase Trefnant [in the said p.], upon condition that V.C. does not dispute at law the sales made by her and her second husband to pay the debts of her father and her first husband of land which descended to her from her late father and that he does not contest her will, and that if he does dispute the sales or her will all the lands so devised to him she devises to her son Thomas Corbett [cf. L70].
