147 ff. + 1 envelope :vellum ;316 x 210 mm.Stitched on two sets of double thongs of deerskin, and originally with thongs of deerskin at the head and foot laced diagonally into the boards. The bands at the foot have been renewed. Oak boards, the upper still partially covered with deerskin; traces of a clasp. In three places the thongs have been secured with wooden wedges driven into the boards. The back is gone.The outside of the manuscript and the bottom right-hand corner has been damaged by rodents. The signatures of two former owners of the manuscript occur on p. 1: 'Liber Joh[n]is Canon de Blagdon : vnum necessarium'; and, in a later hand, 'Clement Burdett'.
