Part of Ruthin Lordship Records
Recipient was to attend Mr Hoblyn to treat concerning the lordship of Ruthin. He was to pay special attention to securing for the writer the whole fee farm rents, being £243.8.21/2., and the royalties of the lordship. Since chief rents paid by tenants fell short of answering the said sum, the deficiency should be made good to the writer out of leasehold lands which, along with toll of Ruthin, were to be retained by Mr. Hoblyn. As there were arrears of chief rents, care should be taken that the writer should have full power to distrain for these.
