Alawon gwerin,

A collection of popular tunes, in the hand of Maurice Edwards, dated 1776 (p. 31) and 1778 (p. iii). The tunes, most of which bear Welsh titles, were possibly noted for use on the harp.

Anglesey submissions, 1406,

Incomplete seventeenth-century copy of the list of the men of Anglesey who abandoned Owain Glyndŵr's cause, and surrendered to King Henry IV's commissioners in November 1406; cf. G. An untitled interlude in Welsh, written in two hitherto unidentified hands of the mid-eighteenth century. It was entitled 'Capten Argulus' by its then owner, Robert Griffith, in Cymru, 28 (1905), p. 62, and as 'Argulus' by G.G. Evans in Llên Cymru, 1 (1950-1951), p. 83, ascribed in both cases to Ellis Roberts ('Elis y Cowper', d. 1789), and dated ?1756 (f. 29); see also G.G. Evans, Elis y Cowper (Caernarfon, 1995), p. 57. A transcript of this manuscript by William John Roberts ('Gwilym Cowlyd'; 1828-1904), written in 1889, is now NLW MS 132C.

'Antiquitates Parochiales'

Two unbound gatherings of a transcript, [in the hand of the Rev. William Morgan], of a portion of Henry Rowlands's 'Antiquitates Parochiales', written c. 1710. For the author's manuscript see Bangor, Penrhos II, MS 996. A full copy was published in the first four volumes of the first series of Archaeologia Cambrensis, 1846-1849.
