The collection includes two parchment documents: a certificate, 1876, authorizing James Davies ('Corafar') [the Revd. James Davies M.A. according to Bye-gones (1874-5), p. 123], 'Vicarial Arch-druid of America', 'to perpetuate and propagate in the western hemisphere of the world the Druidic cause' (f. 1), together with a document authorizing the establishment of a Druidic University in the United States, under James Davies' direction (f. 2). Davies, New York, discussing druidism, together with a fragment of another letter in the hand of Evan Davies, possibly sent to the same recipient (ff. 3-6).
