A copy of a typescript account of the love affair between John Cowper Powys and Frances Wilkinson (née Gregg), incorporating extracts from their correspondence, [c. 1912], as well as from the letters of Louis Wilkinson, Ezra Pound and others. The work was compiled with a view to publication by Oliver Marlow Wilkinson, son of Frances and Louis Wilkinson.

Letters and cards to Frederick Davies, mainly from members of the Powys family, including forty-seven letters and seventeen cards, 1962-1986, from John Cowper Powys's sister, Lucy Amelia Penny (ff. 3-82) and sixteen letters, 1963-1967, from Alyse Gregory, widow of Llewelyn Powys (ff. 87-110), together with five letters and three cards, 1964-1967, mostly in French, from Marie Canavaggia, translator of John Cowper Powys's works (ff. 111-125).

Phyllis Playter letters to Frederick Davies

Two hundred and eighty-eight letters, 1962-1978, from Phyllis Player to Frederick Davies, giving an account of John Cowper Powys shortly before his death in Blaenau Ffestiniog in June 1963 and discussing the posthumous growth of interest in his writings, particularly among members of Cambridge University. Some of the letters have been published in Frederick Davies, 'Recollections of John Cowper Powys and Phyllis Playter', The Powys Review, 19 (1986), 58-66, and 20 (1987), 47-57. Also included are a few letters from Phyllis Playter to Frederick Davies's mother.
