Mynydd Drum, Ystradgynlais

Letters and other papers relating to the common on Mynydd Drum in the parish of Ystradgynlais, including a list of the names and addresses of the commoners who walked Lord Tredegar's manor boundary on 25 Sept. 1906; the Tredegar estate's ignorance of Lord Tredegar's and the commoners' rights, or even the boundaries of the manor of Palleg, and recommending that a great effort should be made to trace the records of the various Breconshire manors, 1911-1912; letters relating to Ystradgynlais RDC's enquiries as to the commoners' rights at Mynydd Drum ('Mr John Lloyd seems to be at the bottom of the commotion', 26 Jan. 1912); and a list of the Ystradgynlais commoners claiming a right of common on Mynydd Drum, 23 July 1912.

Catherine Price of Glangwye Farm, Llyswen

Letters and other papers relating to the estate of Catherine Price (c.1834-1894), dec., tenant of Glangwye Farm, Llyswen. As she had been illegitimate, had no relations, and had died intestate, the probate court refused to grant administration of her effects to anyone but a creditor. As Lord Tredegar was the only creditor (relating to arrears of rent), he agreed to act as administrator.

Ystradfellte Water Bill 1912

Letters and papers relating to a bill to confer on Neath RDC further powers in regard to the Ystradfellte waterworks. The papers include copies of the 1902 Act, copies of the present Bill, a petition by Lord Tredegar against the Bill, and clauses and amendments for Lord Tredegar's protection.
