Catherine Price of Glangwye Farm, Llyswen
Part of Tredegar Estate Records,
Letters and other papers relating to the estate of Catherine Price (c.1834-1894), dec., tenant of Glangwye Farm, Llyswen. As she had been illegitimate, had no relations, and had died intestate, the probate court refused to grant administration of her effects to anyone but a creditor. As Lord Tredegar was the only creditor (relating to arrears of rent), he agreed to act as administrator.
