Petition of Martin Twiss, farmer, to the Hon. Henry Arthur Herbert concerning the lease and rent of his farm of Killeentierna and Rathnalogh in the seigniory of Castle Island, an agreement for which dated 1716 Mr [Robert] Lloyd tore up and demanded an increased rent. Petitioner's grand-father, Richard Twiss, had settled in Kerry at the request of Edward, Lord Herbert, after the rebellion of 1641.
