The journal of Rudolph de Lisle, private secretary of Lord Tredegar, of a journey on Lord Tredegar's yacht, 'HMY Liberty' (and overland), from Cowes - Gibraltar - Marseilles - Toulon - Cannes - Elba - Naples - Syracuse - Valletta, Malta - Kavokiro, Crete - Port Said, Egypt - Ishmailiyeh - Suez - (overland to Jerusalem and Bethlehem) - Ishmailiyeh - Port Said - Alexandria - Tunis - Bona, Algeria - Phillippeville - Algiers - Bonjie - Almira - Malaga - Gibraltar - Cadiz - Seville (overland to Madrid - San Sabastian - Bordeaux - Paris) - Cherbourg - Cowes. The journal includes photographs taken on the trip.
