Estate and family papers of Griffith of Carreg-lwyd and Holland of Berw, co. Ang., and Trygarn of Trygarn, co. Caern, 14-19 cent.; valuable papers relating to affairs of state, early 17 cent. (John Griffith was secretary to Henry Howard, 1st earl of Northampton), and to local affairs, 17-18 cent. The schedule is a notoriously unsatisfactory one. Many of the more important documents are described more fully and satisfactorily in Royal Commission on Historical Manuscripts, Fifth Report (1876), pp. 405-423.
