Tynwyd allan y Casgiad hwn O Ysgriflyfrau yn yr Amgueddfa Brydeinig Genyf fi, Wiliam Henri Mounsey O Gaerliwelyd [sic] yn Sir Cwmberland. 1859'), together with annotations by D. Silvan Evans. The greater part of the volume is based on manuscripts of Dr Griffith Roberts (1735-1808), Dolgellau (Peniarth MSS 99, 100, ?152) and on 'Cronfa Dafydd Thomas, alias Dafydd Ddu o'r Yri' (Cwrtmawr MS 72). There are annotations and additions by Owen Williams, Waunfawr, Peter Bailey Williams, Llanrug and one annotation by D[aniel] S[ilvan] Evans. The manuscript is bound uniformly with Cwrtmawr MSS 10-11 and the spine is lettered 'Dafydd Ellis MS'.

A notebook in the hand of D. Silvan Evans containing an incomplete bibliography of books in Welsh or of Welsh interest classified under the following titles and sub titles:-. I Theology:. 1. The titles number in all 1096 but there are about 132 blank entries, apparently for the most part intended for later accessions. The latest books recorded in the lists are dated 1839.

Catalogue of Welsh ballads,

An interleaved volume (385 pp.) belonging to J. H. Davies made up of pages from Y Traethodydd, 1886-92 ('Hen Gerddi y Cymry', a catalogue of Welsh ballads compiled by John Jones ('Myrddin Fardd'), with pages 346-50 from Revue Celtique, II (part of a supplement [by D. Silvan Evans] to Llyfryddiaeth y Cymry). There are numerous additions and annotations by J. H. Davies, including cross-references to his own Bibliography of Welsh ballads printed in the 18th century (London, 1911) and an index to the authors, etc. of the pre-1800 ballads in the 'Myrddin Fardd' catalogue. The numbers used in the index correspond to the numbers in the 'Myrddin Fardd' catalogue while the page references are to the pages in the present volume. Cofnodau Mechain ...

A thin volume (watermark 1864), variously described as 'Cofnodau Mechain' and 'Mecheinolion', containing biographical and bibliographical notes compiled by D. Silvan Evans towards his edition of Gwaith y Parch. Walter Davies, A. C. (Gwallter Mechain), Cyf I-II (Caerfyrddin ... Llundain, 1868). Towards the end of the volume are the following memoranda: 'Read the last proof (revise) of Gwaith Gwallter Mechain, Jan. 30, 1869, received the last printed sheet, Feb. 5, 1869 ... Received the volumes bound April 10, 1869 (the work being bound by Messrs. Wesley & Co., Friar Street, Doctors' Commons, London), and a short list of subscribers.

Correspondence

One of four volumes containing a collection of nearly two hundred letters addressed to Thomas Powel. They relate to matters to Welsh education, bibliography, philology and Celtic subjects.
