A composite volume almost entirely in the hand of the Reverend Robert Williams (1810-81), Rhydycroesau, near Oswestry. It contains a list of contents and a complete transcript of Peniarth MS 152 ('cywyddau' and 'awdlau' by Gutto'r Glynn, etc.), completed at Rhydycroesau, 21 December 1870; a transcript from Brogyntyn MS 2, with an English translation, of a 'cywydd' by Tudur Penllyn transcribed 2 February 1871; two copies of a 'cywydd' by Sion Kain transcribed from Peniarth MS [116], 14 November 1876, with relevant marginal pedigrees, poetry in strict and free metres by Walter Davies ['Gwallter Mechain'] from 'Cydymeth Ifiengtid; sef Cerddi Cowyddau, ag Englynion tra dewisol na buant yn Argraffedig yr rioed hyd eitha fy ngwibodheth, sef Gwaith amriw rai o brydyddion cymru wedi gasglu gan Dafydd Evans, Llanfihangel, 1785'; 'Cywyddau Cywilyddus o [ffug-]waith Gweyrful Mechain', a 'cywydd' by Tydur Penllyn and 'englynion' by Iorwerth Vynglwyd, from 'Llyfr Hir Llywarch Reynolds' (NLW MS 970) and Llanstephan MS 35; and an incomplete list of contents of Cwrtmawr MS 242. Dyddiadur Robert Williams, Rhydycroesau,

A diary, January 1832 to 21 February 1847, of Robert Williams, perpetual curate of Rhydycroesau, near Oswestry from 1838 to 1879. Robert Williams served as curate of Llangernyw, Denbighshire from 1833 to 1836 and was appointed perpetual curate of Llangadwaladr in 1837. The diary, which is written in Welsh, contains references to events in his home district of Conway as well as to the areas where he served as a cleric. Beginning at the end of the volume there are poems by [John Jones] ('Tegid') (1828); a list of books entitled 'Llyvrau yn Ty Deon', 19 August 1832; accounts with booksellers, stationers, etc., 1832-9; extracts from Aristotle's Rhetoric; and lists of clothes ('Rhestr Dillad'), linen ('Lliain') and carpenter's tools ('Oferynau Saer').

Cornish - English dictionary,

A holograph manuscript of the Reverend Robert Williams, Rhydycroesau near Oswestry, containing materials towards a portion (letters V, F-j, L-n, in this order) of his Lexicon Cornu - Britannicum (Llandovery ... London, 1865). The sections under letters V, H, L and N are dated respectively 7 September, 1 October, 8 October and 27 October 1835, but there are later additions which appear to be immediate drafts of the printed work.

List of books,

Lists of books with prices, offered by D. Williams, London to the Reverend Robert Williams, Llangernyw and Conway. Most of the books are in Welsh or relate to Wales. There are notes, dated 1831-4, appended to three of the lists, relating to books available and books for which the addressee had enquired. A list of 212 Welsh books, published between 1802 and 1890, sent by [Charles Ashton] to [Daniel Silvan Evans], with a note appended (the above list contained all the books not purely theological out of about 600 books which the writer had recorded, he would like to see a copy of the 'Bardd Cwsg' edited by the addressee and also his note in Revue Celtique on Llyfryddiaeth y Cymry.).

Seventeen letters, 1859-79, to D. Silvan Evans from the Reverend Robert Williams (1810-81), sixteen of which are written from Rhydycroesau (rectory), Oswestry and one from Culmington Rectory, Bromfield (the writer's Cornish dictionary, advice, words and their meanings, re translations for Mr Skene, 'these English Bishops', the 'Celtic Remains', the 'Greal', etc., the death of Henry Parry, r[ector] of Bylchau (mention of his father's library), interest in the addressee's preferment, he has been making a catalogue of the books in St Asaph cathedral library, reference to the death of Professor Evander Evans and Professor Ebel, the slowness of so many of his subscribers to pay, the writer's health, sympathy, his removal to Culmington).
