A composite manuscript volume lettered on the spine 'MSS. Collections Relative to Wales, II', being a companion volume to, and a continuation of, NLW MS 6209E, which is also a composite manuscript (sections numbered I-XIII) bound in a similar manner and lettered on the spine 'MSS. Collections Relative to Wales, I'. It appears that the two volumes originally formed one folio manuscript belonging to Edward Lhuyd made up of transcripts by his assistants, contributions by Henry Rowlands and Hugh Thomas, and fragments of earlier manuscripts (see pp. 14-15 of NLW MS 13918F, 'Catalogue of Welsh M.S.S. in Beechwood Library by the Reverend Mr John Jones [?1746-1827] M.A. Fellow of Jesus College Oxon, 1781', i.e. part of the Sebright collection. A seventeenth century manuscript with a previously loose leaf not forming part of the original manuscript bound in at the end. Ff. 1-125 contain a corpus of Welsh verse and prose items mainly of a vaticinatory nature which, according to a holograph note on f. 125 recto, were transcribed by Thomas ab Ieuan, the scribe of NLW MSS 13061-13063B and 13085B, in 1674 ('Yma y diwedda y llyfr hwn a ysgrifenna[is] i Thomas Ieuan o Dre'r brynn pan oedd [oed] krist 1674 . . .'; see also TLLM, t. 171). Included are 'cywyddau' by Robin Ddu (5), Rhys Nanmor, Dafydd Gorlech, Iolo Goch (2) and others (ff. 1-50 verso); verse or prose items by, or attributed to, Myrddin Wyllt, Myrddin Emrys, Taliesin, Ieuan Drwch y Daran, Adda Fras, Rhys Nanmor, Robin Ddu and others, and including, inter alia, 'Prophwydoliaeth yr Eryr mawr or glyn yng wynedd', conversations between Myrddin and his sister Gwenddydd, a sequence of twenty-one stanzas each commencing with the words 'Koronog faban . . .', a poem commencing 'Gwyr Môn a arganfyddant oi ar yn penryn', versions of the prophesies usually known as 'Prophwydoliaeth y Lili' and 'Prophwydoliaeth y Wennol', and a version of the five dreams of Gwenddydd and their interpretation by her brother Myrddin (see R. Wallis Evans: 'Pum Breuddwyd Gwenddydd', The Bulletin of the Board of Celtic Studies, vol. XII, pp. 19-22) (ff. 50 verso-107 recto); and further poems, including 'cywyddau' by Robin Ddu (2), Iolo Goch and others, an 'awdl' by Rhys Nanmor, and 'englynion' by Siams Parri (ff. 107 rector-125). F. 126, the previously loose leaf bound in at the end, is in the same hand as the rest of the volume and contains a seven-stanza vaticinatory poem by Thomas ap Ieuan ap Rhys in the poetic form known as 'triban Morgannwg' (see TLLM, tt. 117, 136), etc.

An imperfect manuscript: of the original manuscript (see note on number of folios) thirty-two folios at the beginning (as per a previous foliation ) ? containing poems numbered 1-28 and part of poem 29, numerous mid- volume folios, and an indeterminate number of folios at the end appear to have been lost. pp. 1-178 (excepting p. 176 and later insertions) are in the hand of the Glamorgan poet and copyist Llywelyn Siôn, the scribe of NLW MSS 970E, 6511B, and 13075-13076B (see TLLM, tt. 157-60). The greater part of the remainder of the volume appears to be in a later seventeenth century hand or hands. The contents consist of transcripts of Welsh poems in free and strict metres, the free-metre verse being largely in the form of 'cwndidau' (see TLLM, tt. 120-43). Included is a corpus of poems by the sixteenth century Glamorgan poets Thomas ap Ieuan ap Rys (25) and Hopgin Thom[as] Phylip (22). A manuscript containing Welsh laws and pleadings. There is a pen and ink sketch of a plough on p. 105. The margins of pp. 38-95 contain index words to the subject-matter in the autograph of William Salesbury, as in Mostyn MS 159, to which pp. 123-124 belong. At the foot of pp. 123-124 there are notes in the hand of Gruffydd Dwnn. There is also an englyn attributed to Iolo Goch in the hand of William Salesbury at the top of p. 72. The contents of the remainder of this manuscript consist of excerpts, as well as some later pleadings (e.g. p. 42). At p. 123 is a fragment of the Grail, being two columns of Mostyn MS 159.
From the invocations 'Gwenoc' (pp. 76, 112), 'Gwenod : Gwnnen' (pp. 56, 110), 'Gwenoc : Gwnen : Gwinionyd' (p. 111), and 'Gwenoc : Gwnen Gwinionyd ywch kerdin' (p. 120), it is inferred that this manuscript was written in the parish of Llan Wenog, Cardiganshire, or by a native of that parish, and the text furnishes an interesting specimen of the dialectical peculiarities of south Cardiganshire. Llanwnnen is an adjoining parish to the north-east. Both Llanwenog and Llanwnnen parishes were in the upper division of the ancient lordship of Gwynionydd. Castell Gwynionydd is supposed to have been on the summit of Côd y Vôl, near Llandysul, where the river Cerdin falls into the Teifi a little north of the church. The text of pp. 1-38 corresponds practically with pp. 464-588 of the 'Dimetian Code' in vol. i of The Ancient Laws & Institutes of Wales. The text at pp. 51-56 of this manuscript corresponds to pp. 366-378 of Volume ii of The Ancient Laws & Institutes of Wales, pp. 73-74 to pp. 122-124 and 152, and pp. 96-97 to p. 342.

A volume of transcripts of miscellaneous poems in English, Latin, and Welsh. The Welsh verse consists of one 'cywydd' each by Davydd Nanmor, Gr[uffydd] ap Ieuan, Iolo Goch, Ll[ewely]n ap Holl ap Ieuan ap Gronwy, and Mredydd ap Rys, and some thirty 'englynion', all anonymous except one which is attributed to Gruffith Llwyd.
