Lewis family letters,

Letters to Saunders Lewis from his father the Reverend Lodwig Lewis (4) 1919-24; letters and cards from Saunders Lewis to his wife Margaret (18) 1931-55 [not included in Saunders Lewis: Letters to Margaret Gilcriest ed. Mair Saunders Jones, Ned Thomas and Harri Pritchard Jones (Cardiff, 1993)], and to his daughter Mair (1) 1937; and letters from Mair to her mother (4) 1939. Also included are four letters to Mair Saunders Jones from various correspondents, 1952 and 1984-[c. 1986], including a letter, 1952, from Dr Kate Roberts.

Prison letters,

Twenty-eight letters, 1937, from Saunders Lewis at Wormwood Scrubs Prison, London, to his wife, Margaret, his daughter, Mair and his aunt, Ellen Thomas, some being transcripts, containing news of life in prison where he, D. J. Williams, Fishguard, and the Reverend Lewis Valentine were serving nine months for their part in the burning of the Penyberth Bombing School.
