Barry Art Central holocaust exhibition

Proposal for a collaborative presentation featuring poetry by Tony Curtis and visual work by film-maker and photographer Jo Sowden as part of the Barry Art Central holocaust exhibition, held January 2017. The material includes photographs taken on a preparatory visit by Tony Curtis and Jo Sowden to Sachsenhausen concentration camp in Germany, together with grant request form to cover travel and accommodation expenses.

Aberfan Voices

Material relating to a sequence of poems titled 'Aberfan Voices', written by Tony Curtis and Grahame Davies to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Aberfan disaster on 21 October 1966, when the catastrophic collapse of a colliery spoil tip situated above the South Wales village destroyed Pantglas Junior School and adjacent houses, killing 116 children and 28 adults, each poem accompanied at the readings by a displayed photograph taken by photojournalist and screenwriter I. C. (Chuck) Rapoport. Material includes tour schedule of poetry readings; draft and fair-copied poems; letter to Tony Curtis from Chuck Rapoport; and email correspondence between Tony Curtis, Grahame Davies and Ceri Wyn Jones, Editor of Books for Adults at Gomer Press.
