Manuscripts and papers, [1601x1936], relating to the literary activities of David Jones (Dewi Fardd) and particularly to his printing business at Trefriw. The collection includes personal and business correspondence of family members of David Jones, and papers of Gwilym Cowlyd, Ieuan Glan Geirionydd, Gwilym Hiraethog and other literary figures.

Papers, [1756]-1854, of the Evans family of Trefayog and Cilau-wen, Pembrokeshire, comprising largely of accounts and rentals relating to Cilau-wen and Trefayog estates and ship's accounts and log books kept by members of the Evans family who went to sea; together with a diary, sermons, exercise books, etc.

Manuscripts and papers which belonged to Sir Thomas Marchant Williams, known as the Howard de Walden Manuscripts. They include poetry, genealogy and historical papers.

A collection comprising mainly of genealogical material (which includes notes on the Stedman family), also: a calendar of Carmarthenshire sheriffs and other officials, 1400-1818; correspondence; copies of printed material; an account book, 1861; historical notes; a transcript of material dated 1681.

Papers, [1600x1924], mostly of or relating to Robert Ellis (Cynddelw), with some in the hand of Dr Robert Ellis, his son. The material includes a draft autobiography of Robert Ellis; an introduction written for a collection of Ellis's work under the proposed title Mwyar Berwyn; a draft of part of the first chapter of a biography of John Williams, Baptist minister (Llangollen, 1871); notes for Esboniad ar y Testament Newydd Cyfrol III (Llangollenn, 1878); poetry; diaries, 1840-1866; correspondence, 1833-1875; sermons; lectures; essays; adjudications at eisteddfodau, [1860x1875]; and miscellaneous notes, transcripts and extracts. The collection also includes letters, 1835-1856, of John Williams, Baptist minister; a rental, 1725-1726, of the estate of Watkin Williams Wynn; commonplace books of John Davies, Pentrefoelas, Griffith Williams (Gutyn Peris) and others, together with further collections of miscellany in seventeenth and eighteenth century hands; and autograph sermons by Christmas Evans.

Appeal containing approximately 6,500 petitions of signatures received by the women of Wales during the 1923 Wales Peace Petition, organised by the Welsh League of Nations Union in April-May 1923.

Deeds collected by W. E. R. Allen relating to premises in the parishes of Crinow and Lampeter Velfrey, Pembrokeshire, 1753-1850.

Papers, 1871-1921, largely comprising historical and other material by, or collected by, Evan Owen which relates to the Welsh Baptist churches in Liverpool and surrounding districts, together with material relating to the temperance movement in Liverpool and surrounding districts, and to Baptist churches and the temperance movement in other parts of England and in Wales. Also included in the collection are essays on theological subjects by Evan Owen; letters, 1877-1921, addressed to Evan Owen; and material relating to Susannah Owen, wife of Evan Owen.

Papers of Alderman R. J. Ellis relating to Aberystwyth Borough Council and Cardiganshire County Council, mainly concerning planning and water, 1937-1975; letters relating to administration of estates, 1902-1976; personal papers, certificates, and diaries of R. J. Ellis, 1910-1972; and a letter from Irish politician Tim Healy, 1886.

Minutes of the meetings of the Council, 1949-1959; memoranda, reports and notes deriving from the activities of the Council, 1949-1959, together with subject files covering regional devolution, trade at the south Wales ports, transport services in Wales, employment and the repopulation of the rural areas, a Welsh Television Service, functions exercised by the Welsh Office, and the Welsh economy.

Records accumulated by John Clement as a civil servant, 1942-1958, including records of the Welsh Reconstruction Advisory Council, 1942-1945; records relating to education and hill sheep farming, 1942-1943; papers relating to the Welsh woollen industry, 1954-1958; and records relating to the Council for Wales and Monmouthshire, 1954-1958.

A further box of papers was received August 2007. This group remains uncatalogued.

Parliament for Wales Campaign records, 1988-2000, including minutes, accounts, correspondence, and files relating to membership, branches, policy, activities and publications.

A further consignment of papers were recived comprising correspondence, minutes of meetings and financial papers. This group remains uncatalogued.

The fonds comprises two accruals containing papers, 1985-1996, accumulated by Mike Webb and include papers relating to the Nicaraguan election of 1990; various environmental projects in Nicaragua, especially in the Ocotal region, 1986-1992; newspaper cuttings from Nicaragua and Britain, 1988-1994; newsletters, articles and posters relating to Central America, 1985-1993; papers reflecting the activities of the Grŵp Canolbarth America Môn Arfon Central America Group and other related organisations, 1987-1996; and papers concerning the Tom Hargreaves Memorial Fund, 1987-1995.

The second donation, made in 2001, consists of the records of the Wales Nicaragua Solidarity Campaign, 1980-2000. These mainly include correspondence, posters and artwork, delegation particulars, reports on natural disasters and campaign reports and newsletters relating in particular to the Wales Nicaragua Solidarity Campaign, 1984-2000; as well as letters, leaflets, paste-ups and minutes relating to other relevant interest groups such as the Swansea Latin American Society, Cardiff Solidarity with Latin America and 500 Years of Resistance Campaign, 1986-1994. There are also reports, subject files and the particulars of workshops and courses, relating to Central America in general, 1980-1998.

The first group, donated in 1999, comprises papers relating to the Wales Nicaragua Solidarity Campaign (Ymgyrch Unoliaeth Cymru Nicaragua), 1983-1998. These mainly include executive papers, papers relating to local Nicaragua Solidarity Campaign groups, financial reports, general correspondence, papers relating to delegations made to Nicaragua and other special events, membership lists, and publicity material. The papers were used by the donor for the preparation of his book, Rwy'n gweld o bell y dydd yn dod: Cymru, Nicaragua a dyfodol rhyngwladoldeb = Afar I see the day is coming: Wales, Nicaragua and the future of internationalism (Cardiff, 1998). This group, originally listed in Minor Lists and Summaries 1999 has been added to the existing structure as sub-fonds 1-34.

Further donations, made in 2005 and 2010, comprises additional records relating to the Wales Nicaragua Solidarity Campaign, 1990-2008. These include correspondence, publicity material, delegation particulars and executive papers, and have been incorporated into the existing structure of this archive.

The 2003 donation comprises records of the Swansea Latin American Society, 1982-1998, and has been added to the existing structure as sub-fonds S. See description at appropriate level for full details.

A collection of manuscripts containing pedigrees and genealogical material relating mainly to North Wales; extracts, etc. from Anglesey, Caernarvonshire, Denbighshire and Flintshire deeds; accounts, [17 cent.]-[19 cent.], of the Ty Fry estate, Anglesey; transcripts by Angharad Llwyd; material relating to David Hughes, founder of the free grammar school, Beaumaris; extracts from Anglesey public records and other notes and transcripts relating to Anglesey; a calendar relating to the Courts of Great Sessions for Flintshire and Denbighshire, 1668-1696; correspondence collected by John Lloyd, Caerwys (1733-1793); Caerwys churchwardens' accounts, 1662-1669, 1680-1690, 1697-1698; material relating to Abergele; miscellaneous transcripts, extracts and translations; etc.

Correspondence, 1938-1997, and miscellaneous personal papers, 1944-1995, of John Elwyn, including letters relating to commissions and exhibitions. Among the more notable correspondents are Winifred Coombe Tennant, Nicholas Evans, Alun Hoddinott, Glyn Jones, John Petts, Ceri Richards and Kyffin Williams.

Manuscripts, 1876-1950, from the library of Thomas Evans Morris, barrister-at-law, of Porthmadog and London, comprising printed diaries for 1876-1878, 1881-1895, 1899-1944 and 1946-1950 containing copious entries, except for 1908-1921 which have sparse entries only, together with some financial accounts (NLW MSS 20176E, 20177-20244A); notebooks containing notes on surnames, etc. (NLW MS 20245D); and a notebook containing the names of the local committee of the Congregational Union Conference at Porthmadog and minutes of proceedings, 1900, a book of quotations, and Visions in Verse for the Entertainment and Instructions of Younger Minds (London, 1771) (NLW MS 20246Bi-iv).
