Pedigrees of Glamorgan

A volume containing genealogies of Glamorgan families, written, 1677-1678, in the same hand as NLW MS 7A. Includes lists (pp. 270-85) of the manors belonging to the Earl of Pembroke, Marquis of Worcester, Earl of Leicester, Lord Bolingbroke, Carne family, Sir J. Stradling, Sir William Herbert, Sir John Aubrey, Sir Edward Lewis of Van, Sir Francis Popham and Sir Richard Basset.

William Robinson: Antiquities of Ancient Britain (Vol. 1)

An apparently unpublished work, in two volumes, c. 1846, by William Robinson, documenting the history of Britain 'from the first traditional beginning' and including accounts of the Saxons, Phoenicians, Greeks and Romans. Both volumes contain numerous original drawings and a map of Europe. With NLW MS 91B.

An account of the Morris family

A volume, compiled c. 1774, containing an account of the family of Morris of Piercefield in Monmouthshire and of their connections in the West Indies and in the United States. Also included are additions of a later date.

David Jones (Dewi Fardd): Caneuon a baledi

A collection of Welsh songs and ballads written, 1736-1755, by David Jones (Dewi Fardd) of Trefriw. Many of the songs were afterwards printed by David Jones in Blodeugerdd Cymru (1759; second edn 1779). A modern index to the poets has been inserted at p. v.

Llewelyn Alaw music manuscripts

Eleven volumes of music manuscripts of the harpist Thomas David Llewelyn (Llewelyn Alaw), Aberdare. The former NLW MS 328D has been added to NLW MS 337D and is now pp. 320-353 of that manuscript.

Sixteen volumes containing transcripts and extracts in the hand of Dr E. A. Lewis of record material, mainly in the Public Record Office and the British Museum, relating to Carmarthen, Carreg Cennen, Kidwelly, Dryslwyn, Dynevor, Llandovery, Llanstephan, Laugharne and Newcastle Emlyn castles, towns and lordships, Carmarthen priory and Talley abbey.
