Anerchiadau a barddoniaeth,

They include notes on Bardism, the outline of an address on 'John Elias o Fôn', and copies of the programme for the Llandudno National Eisteddfod, 1864, and The Literature of Wales, Reprinted from the Eclectic Review, ed. by Thomas Price (NLW MS 5758A); an address and other notes for the Denbigh National Eisteddfod, 1882 (NLW MS 5759A); and notes on Bishop William Morgan (NLW MS 5760A).

Y Llong Losg,

A manuscript copy, dated 1 January 1895, of 'Y Llong Losg', a Welsh translation by Lewis William Lewis (Llew Llwyfo) of the poem 'The Ship on Fire' by Henry Russell. It was written for, and given to, Miss Anne Mary Williams, Tyddyn Rhyddallt, Llanrug, as a New Year gift.

Account book, 1846-1856, of Rowland Thomas ('Idris Ddu', 1789-1856) of Merthyr Tudful, co. Glamorgan, containing records of payments to members of the Solid Rock of Wales Society ('Cymdeithas Cadarn Graig y Cymry') meeting at the Harp, Penllwynderi, Merthyr, together with other miscellaneous accounts and memoranda, including an account of William Howel's journey with Abel Evans (d. 1866) and the Mormons from Merthyr to St Louis, Missouri, 1849 (ff. 79-81); additions, 1859-1868, in the hand of Rowland Thomas's son, William R. Thomas, include verses in Welsh (ff. 26v, 119v), and brief details of literary competitions at the National Eisteddfod, Rhuthun, 1868 (ff. 118v-19).

Diary, 1870-1895, of William Griffith, Coetmor, Pen-y-groes, Caernarvonshire, a deacon at Bethel Calvinistic Methodist church, Pen-y-groes, containing occasional entries, mostly of a religious nature. Also included are transcripts of some twenty poems by William Griffith, written between 1857 and 1891, many of which were published in Baner ac amserau Cymru. Items found loose inside the volume have been tipped in on ff. 16-21.

Papurau llenyddol,

Literary papers, [c. 1877]-[c. 1915] (watermark 1877, f. 68), of Robert Bryan, poet and musician, including over thirty draft poems, many of which were published posthumously in Tua'r wawr (Lerpwl, 1921); and several prose pieces, including a tribute, [c. 1884], to Thomas Carlyle (ff. 87-96). Many items were written on the dorse of printed advertisements and other material pertaining to the firm of 'Bryan Brothers, General Drapers, Carnarvon', owned by Robert Bryan's brothers, Edward and Joseph, in the 1880s.
