The records deposited in 1934 included two major groups, the 'Trevecka Group' and the 'Bala College Group'. The former, which represents the largely autonomous 18th-century development of Methodism in Wales, beginning in the 1730s, is centred on the archives of the founding father of Welsh Methodism, Howell Harris, and of the religious community which he established, the 'Trevecka Family'. Besides the 290 volumes of Howell Harris's diaries (for 1735-73), it comprises some 3000 letters, accounts of Societies (individual groups of adherents) and records of Associations. The 'Bala College Group' represents the development of Methodism during the 19th century, its spread in North Wales, the separation from the Established Church in 1811 and the formation of the Confession of Faith in 1823. The accessions of the years 1934 to 1974 include the records of the Sasiwn [the Association], district meetings, colleges, some individual chapels and churches, personal archives (both those of ministers and laymen), and those of the Foreign Mission. In content, the accessions of the years 1974-83 are distinguished from those of the earlier period by the high proportion of records of individual churches, many of them deposited because of the closure of the church. A third series, following a classification similar to that of the second, lists accessions from July 1983 onwards. The records of the North Cardiganshire Presbytery, detailed in a schedule [c.1940], have been withdrawn. Particular mention should be made of the archives of the Foreign Mission, which cover the missionary work of the Church in North East India from its beginning in the 1840s.

At the end of the volume is a letter from a Welsh emigrant, written from Delaware, 21 September, 1828.

An anthology of Welsh verse ('cerddi', 'dyriau', 'carolau', 'cywyddau', and 'englynion') and some prose, begun by William Elias in 1752, and including several selections from the works of Owen Gruffydd of Llanystumdwy and Goronwy Owen. Other poets represented are 'Aneuryn Gwawdrydd' ('englynion y misoedd'), Dafydd ap Gwilym, 'Dic y Dawns', William Elias, Wm. Gough, Gruffudd Hiraethog, Huw Llyn, Lewis Glyn Cothi, Morgan ap Hugh Lewis, Edward Morus, Hugh Morus, Lewis Morris, Richard Parry, William Phylip, Robert Prichard o Bentraeth, Edmund Prys, Morus Roberts, Thomas Prys, Tudur Aled, Wiliam Llyn, and William Wynn. A volume of music for the harp, [c. 1764], including compositions by, and variations on the work of, Handel and John Parry Ddall of Rhiwabon. The manuscript is in two hands: possibly that of Robert Edwards, a pupil of John Parry (ff. 1-14, 24 verso-26, 36 verso-40), and possibly that of Thomas Roberts (ff. 14 verso-24, 26 verso-36, 40 verso-42a).

Minute-book, 1796-1909, of the trustees of the charity created by the will of Ellen Glynne of Elernion, parish of Llanaelhaearn, co. Caernarfon, spinster, respecting the almshouse at Llandwrog and property in the parishes of Llandwrog and Llanllyfni, co. Caernarfon, and in the parish of Llangoed, co. Anglesey. The minutes include details of admittances to the almshouse and details of tenants, rents and repair of trust property. Also included in the volume are copies of the will, 1727, with codicils, 1728 and 1732/3, of Ellen Glynne, proved at London, 1733 (tipped in between ff. i and ii; ff. 1-6v).

Among the subjects to which the accounts refer are the engrossment of the agreement of tithe commutation for the parish of Llanbadrig, Anglesey, and the execution of conveyances, etc. of properties in Dolbenmaen, Llanfihangel y Pennant, Caernarvon, Bontnewydd, Llanbeblig (including a piece of ground for the building of a school), Pwllheli, and Llanfair is gaer, Caernarvonshire, Llandegfan, Anglesey, Flint, Flintshire, etc.

Court rolls (town courts, piepowder courts, courts of the fairs, and great tourn courts), 1361-1402, of the borough of Caernarfon. The rolls were transcribed and translated (with an an introduction) by Gwilym Peredur Jones and Hugh Owen, in Caernarvon Court Rolls 1361-1402 (Caernarvonshire Historical Society Record Series No. 1; Caernarfon, 1951).

A volume of transcripts of leases, grants, charters, etc., 1704-1755, relating to the issues and profits of the origianl seal for cos. Caernarvon, Anglesey, and Merioneth, and of sums of money payable for fines and recoveries levied in the said counties, compiled for reference by William Wynne, serjeant at law, who was granted a lease of the original seal in 1729.
