Johnson, Prichard, and Johnson, Bristol, to Mr. Hopkins, Bridgend, 1815 (a business appointment), and a transcript (probably not in the hand of Edward Williams) of an English poem by ? The section now paginated 137-64 appears to have been originally a home-made booklet with the present pp. 137-8, 163-4 (bluish, rough paper) as covers. P. 137 is inscribed 'Catalogue of Books at London, May 20th 1794', and is followed (pp. 141-55) by a list of two hundred and sixty-seven books and (p. 157) a list of Welsh manuscripts including those described as 'Byrdew Trebryn' (? Llanover B. 1, now NLW MSS 13061-13062B), 'Barddoniaeth Sils ap Siôn' (? Llanover B. 6, now NLW MS 13068B), and 'Marchog Crwydrad' (? Llanover E. 1, now NLW MS 13163B) (As Edward Williams was in London during the period 1791-1795, if the identification of the three aforementioned manuscripts is correct, it is possible that the catalogue is of Williams's books and manuscripts). P. 165 is inscribed 'Hints for a short exposition of the Prophecies relating to Antichrist' and is followed (pp. 167-83) by a short theological exposition of ideas relating to the existence of a 'trinity of Antichristian Powers', viz. civil tyranny, ecclesiastical tyranny, and human philosophy, a conflict involving these powers, and the ultimate triumph of a ? Christian theocracy. Notes are found written on the verso or margins of a copy of a printed leaflet advertising a performance of 'King Henry 4th' to be given by the Young Gentlemen of Cardiff Academy in the town hall in Cardiff, 19 December 1806, copies of a printed leaflet containing proposals for publishing Edward Williams's two volumes of English verse Poems Lyric and Pastoral, and the cover of a copy of The Bee or Literary Weekly Intelligencer, vol. X, no. 5, 1792.

A volume originally used largely by the Reverend Thomas Richards, Darowen as an account book, 1821-6, of the Darowen Auxiliary of the Society for Promoting Christianity among the Jews ('Cymdeithas Gynnorthwyol ir Iuddewon' or 'Cyfaill Israel'). The Auxiliary Society was established on 12 January 1821 and the account book contains rules, lists of officers, particulars of individual subscriptions (and of collections previously made during the period 1816-20), and copies of letters of acknowledgment of annual contributions to the parent Society. The remainder, and by far the greater part, of the volume was subsequently used largely by Mary Richards to record transcripts of 'carolau', 'englynion', 'cywyddau', hymns, etc. by Hugh Jones (Maesglase), W. Thomas, John Morris, Aneurin Owain, Walter Davies ('Gwallter Mechain'), Sion Philip, Dafydd Rhys (Llanbryn Mair), [John Jones] 'Tegid', John William (Dolgellau), Thomas Jones (Creaton), Robert Davies (Nantglyn), William Wynne ('Person Llancanhafal'), Joseph Marpole, [?Thomas Roberts] ('Cyfell Cadfan' (1799), 'Philo Cadfan'), Cadwaladr Dafydd (Llan y Mowddwy), Owen Robert, David William [?Llandeilo Fach], David Harris (?Carno), Dafydd Jones ['Dafydd Siôn Siâms'] 'Dafydd ab Ioan' ('rhwymwr Llyfrau Penrhyn Deutraeth'), Rowland Hugh (Grienyn), David Ellis ('Dafydd Elis Gof Llan y Mowddwy'), D. At the beginning of the volume there are a subject classification of the contents and an incomplete contents list in the hand of the original scribe ('Llyma dabal i amlygv pa ryw gywydd[av] owdlav ne englynion, ar bara achosion, i bwy y canwyd hwy ag ymha ddalen y maent yn scrifenedic, megis y gwelwch yn y drefn isod'), and lists by Margaret Davies of Welsh poets and their supposed floruits ('Llymma Henwau part or Beirdd Gynt sef y rhai mwya hynod ac amcan or pryd yr oeddynt yn canu') and the children of Lewis ab Owen 'y Barwn Or Llwyn' [?Dolgellau]. The volume is divided into seven parts, the first lacking a title but containing religious poems and 'Kowyddau ir byd', and the remainder being successively entitled '... Moliant i wyr a ffendefigion Gwynedd ...', '... Kowyddau Kynghorion ...' and 'Kowyddau Kymod, '... Kowyddau erfyniadau neu ofynion ...', '... Kowyddau ymryson rhwng Beirdd ...', '... amryw gowyddau i ferched', and 'marwnadau'. The spine is lettered 'Llyfr David Elis, 1630'.

A collection entitled 'Casgliad o hên Gerddi difyr a digri', being transcripts, with annotations, by J. H. Davies from manuscript and printed sources, notably NLW Add. The collection was compiled approximately during February - July 1902.

Rhydderch, and Tudur Penllyn; the Earl Roland tale from the Red Book of Hergest, and other extracts; a list of poets whose works are represented in the Red Book of Hergest and a list of contents of the manuscript; a note on the text of 'Monachlog yr Yspryd Glan'; a calendar of a text of the laws of Hywel Dda in MS 45 in All Souls Library, Oxford; extracts, 1760, relating to the parishes of Llangeitho and Nantgwnlle from the episcopal acts of the diocese of St Davids in NLW Add. MS 25; extracts from the vestry book of the parish of Llangeitho, 1757-77; an abstract of the trust deed of [Llangeitho] meeting-house, 1770; extracts from Phillip Dafydd: Marwnad y Parchedig Mr D. Rowlands (Caerfyrddin, 1797); etc. The volume was begun on 7 February, [18]93, during J. H. Davies's residence at Lincoln College, Oxford.

A volume containing two collections of transcripts of poetry, with copious annotations, in the hand of Owen Williams ('Owain Gwyrfai'), Waunfawr. The first collection, entitled 'Llwyn y Gell', includes 'cywyddau', etc. by Gruff. The sources used by the scribe for his transcripts of poems include 'L[l]yfr ysgrif Eiddo Mr. Owen Roberts gynt o Bentraeth Mon', 'L[l]yfrau Owen Gruffydd Llanystumdwy', and '[L]lyfrau M.S. pwdredig eiddo Mr. Jonathan Jones, Colector of Carnarfon 1855'. At the beginning is a list of poets whose titles were taken from Y Greal and a list of titles of poems transcribed in full. The collection was compiled during the period 1855-9, although the fly-leaf bears the scribe's name dated 1863. The second collection, beginning at the end, is entitled 'Y Gell Gynen, ('herwydd canau cynen sydd ynddo') and contains fliting poems ('ymrysongerddi') between Edmwnt Prys and William Cynwal and Sion Philip and Edmunt Prys, together with additional 'cywyddau' by Edmunt Prys. This section of the manuscript was compiled between 1844 and 1846, but there are some additions of the period 1859-61. Recorded on the upper end paper are timber purchase accounts of Owen Williams, 1844-5. The manuscript is lettered on the spine 'Owain Gwyrfai MS'.

A volume lettered 'Llyfr J. Morris - II', being a collection of 'cerddi', 'englynion', etc. by Thomas Edwards ['Twm o'r Nant'], Hugh Jones ('o Langwm'), Dafydd Jones ('neu'n Gyffredyn y tailiwr hir') and Hugh Morris ('yr Englyn diwaetha medd rhai Ag nid annhebig a wnaeth ...'), and anonymous poems. There are copious marginal entries which are entirely irrelevant to the text.

A manuscript of the third quarter of the eighteenth century largely in the hand of Richard Foulke of Penygraig [parish of Llansilin]. It contains 'cerddi', 'Ymddiddanion', 'carolau', 'dyriau', etc. by Hugh Morris, Humphre Ralph ('Gwas Mr. Richards Person Llanvyllin, 1756), Jonathan Hughes, Edward Rowland, Arthur Jones (1758), Hugh Jones ('o Langwm'), John Richard ('or bryn côch') (poem torn away), John Griffiths (1757), Evan Arthur, William Philip, Gruffudd Phylip, Robert Edward Lewis ('o Gwm Mynach'), Matthew Owen and Rowland Vaughan ('o Gaer-gai, Esquire'), and anonymous poems; 'englynion' and 'cywyddau' by Ed[ward] Morris, Hugh Morris, Moris ap Robert ('o'r Bala'), Hugh Llyn and Jonathan Hughes; and a prayer entitled 'Gweddi cyn mynd i Gysgu ... Dyma yr weddi y bydde yr hen Richard Foulke o Rhiwlas taid Richard Foulke o Benygraig; ar taid yma ai Gwnaeth'.

A collection of 'cerddi', 'carolau', etc. by Hugh Morris, together with a 'cerdd' by Huw Jones, Llangwm, a 'cerdd' by the Reverend Walter Davies ['Gwallter Mechain'], anonymous 'englynion, 'carolau' and some financial accounts, 1805 and undated. The volume is in the hand of Huw Jones, Llangwm, with a few later additions by Elizabeth Maurice and by Mary Richards, Darowen. It belonged to Thomas Powel, 1804, and Martha Powel, 1805, and also bears the names of Henry Powel, 1756, John Jones, carpenter, Pentregayr [Oswestry] and Martha Edwards.

An imperfect manuscript of the late seventeenth century in the hand of Huw Morys, with copious additions in a number of early eighteenth century hands. It consists largely of 'cywyddau', 'carolau', 'cerddi' and 'dyrïau' by Huw Morys himself, with a few poems in both strict and free metres by Owen Gwynedd, Humphrey Owen, Simwnt Vychan, William Miltwn [Midleton, Myddelton], Doctor Sion Kent, Roger Kyffin, Sion Sgrufen and John Davies ('of Rhiwlas'), and anonymous poems. The volume is lettered 'Barddoniaeth Huw Morys'.
