A manuscript, written in two hands of the first half of the sixteenth century, containing Brut y Brenhined, the text also including the Prophecy of Myrddin.
The fly leaf has a note (1749) on the manuscript by Lewis Morris, who calls the manuscript Brut Tyssilio; there is another note by him at the end of the manuscript.

Written throughout by William Owen [-Pughe], the manuscript contains transcripts of parts of two older manuscripts, the one in the hand of Lewis Morris [B.M. Add. MS 14908, ff. 36-58], and the other in the hand of Owen Jones, 'Owain Myfyr' [B.M. Add. MS 15020, pp. 1-5, 7-12, 27-8, 33- 5, 44-5, 52-8, 67-70, 93-107, 109-15, 117-23]. The first item in the present manuscript, pp. 1-39, is a transcript of the Statute of Rhuddlan, 'Ystatus Rhuddlan yw hon. A.D. 1283', copied from Lewis Morris's manuscript, which is in turn a copy of a vellum manuscript in the Hengwrt library, which he transcribed in 1738 [i.e. Peniarth MS 41]. The remainder of the present manuscript is copied from B.M. Add. A collection of historical tracts transcribed by John Thomas from manuscripts of Evan Evans ('Ieuan Brydydd Hir') - a transcript of the Charter granted by Henry VII to the inhabitants of North Wales, 1507; a translation of De Bardis Britannicis Dissertatio, 1760; extracts from correspondence concerning Welsh antiquities between Lewis Morris, Edward Richard, Dr Philips, Blaenpant, and Samuel Pegge, 1759-1760; a transcript of Sir John Wynne's History of the Gwydir Family; and a copy of the pedigree of the families mentioned in that work brought down to 1764, and taken from a manuscript in the possession of Lewis Owen, curate of Llanllechid.

A transcript, in the hand of Evan Evans (Ieuan Fardd), of 'Brut Gruf. ab Arthur', a compiled version of Brut y Brenhinedd 'transcribed from a very old copy of the British History on Vellum' (NLW MS 1978iB, ff. 1-109 verso, and NLW MS 1978iiB, ff. 110-261 verso); together with copies of correspondence, 1758-1765, of Edward Richard of Ystrad Meurig School and Lewis Morris, relating to Ieuan Fardd, Morris's health, literary criticism and Celtic antiquities, with special reference to Camden and Nennius (NLW MS 1978iB, ff. 111-192); and copies of two letters from 'Dr. Phillipps' [the Rev. James Phillips], Blaen y Pant, to Edward Richard (NLW MS 1978iB, ff. 192-194). Also included is a table of contents (ff. 195-196) and a pedigree of St David (f. 261 verso).
The text of Brut y Brenhinedd was the original of the text of Brut Gruffydd ab Arthur printed in the second volume of the Myvyrian Archaiology of Wales.

A manuscript in the autograph of Evan Evans (Ieuan Fardd) containing a copy of Nennius's 'Eulogium Britanniæ' (ff. 1-57); notes relating to Nennius copied from a manuscript in the hand of Robert Vaughan, Hengwrt (ff. 67-88); triads copied from a manuscript in the hand of Robert Vaughan, Hengwrt, by Lewis Morris in 1738, with marginal and intertextual notes (ff. 89-112), and from the Red Book of Hergest (ff. 137-152); 'Araith Iolo Goch' (ff. 114-116); poetry, the poets cited including Aneirin, Iolo Goch and Mabclaf ap Llywarch (ff. 119-157b); etc. On f. 189 is a table of contents in a later hand. On f. iv the title page reads 'Y Cynfeirdd Cymreig, Vol. II'.
This manuscript is the source of the text of Series I of the Triads in the Myvyrian Archaiology Vol. ii, pp. 1-22. The englynion at ff. 119-122b are practically the same as those in Myvyrian Archaiology, pp. 543-547, col. i, but that the arrangement is different. The text at f. 132 was copied in September 1758 from an autograph manuscript of Edward Lhuyd. The text at f. 154 verso was transcribed from Llyfr Coch Nannau (see Mostyn MS 144) 'and collated it with my brother Lewis Morris MSS'.

Two volumes of transcripts, [1758], compiled Evan Evans (Ieuan Fardd), subsequently bound as one volume. Part I (foliated 1-153) contains 'The Gododin an Heroic poem of the sixth Century transcribed from a Copy of Thomas Wiliams of Trefriw M.D., and the Works of Taliessin from Dr Davies of Mallwyd's hand, and other particulars wrote by the Revd Mr. Evan Evans' (f. 1) and includes transcripts of Llyfr Aneirin (ff. 5 verso-36), Llyfr Taliesin (ff. 37-126) and other manuscripts.
Part II (foliated 1-73) contains further poetry, by poets including Llywarch Hen, Iolo Goch, Dafydd ab Edmwnd and Gutun Owain (ff. 1-28, 34 verso-47); notes on Welsh orthography (following the cywydd beginning at f. 19); a list of poets from a manuscript of Dr John Davies (f. 39 verso); a copy of Sir Thomas Wiliems's Preface to his Latin-Welsh Dictionary (ff. 48-64); a letter, dated 26 January 1757, from Lewis Morris to 'Mr. Vaughan of Corsygedol' (ff. 65-69); a letter, dated 14 June 1755, from Richard Morris to the same Mr Vaughan, enclosing a copy of the Transactions of the Society of Cymmrodorion and referring to Lewis Morris and to Goronwy Owen (ff. 70-71); and a table of contents for Part I only, [?in the hand of Owain Myfyr] (f. 72).

A manuscript, 1773-1774, in the hand of Evan Evans (Ieuan Fardd) containing notes on a Welsh chronicle from Adam to Cadwaladr Fendigaid (ff. 1-62), originally written, with notes, by John Jones, Gellilyfdy, in 1622 (see f. 1), and which seemingly includes Hanes Taliesin (ff. 26-48) (cf. Peniarth MS 111, p. 1); an account of a Latin manuscript of Brut Tysilio, etc., (ff. 63-72) 'which now belongs to Doctor Treadway Nash, near Bevere, Worcester, 1773, bought out of the library of the late Mr. Lewis Morris of Penbryn in Cardiganshire' (see f. 63); a copy of an Edward Lhuyd letter, including the inscription on the Eliseg stone (ff. 73-77); and various other extracts (ff. 78-95 verso). On f. 97 is a note by D[afydd] Ddu.

An album of annotated autographs, photographs and engravings, printed matter, press cuttings, etc., compiled during the years 1858-1881. The volume is almost entirely devoted to persons who were prominent in the literary and musical life of Wales during this period, and it appears from internal evidence to have been well known to the compiler's friends and contemporaries. The autographs are largely in the form of personal entries, recorded mainly at national and other eisteddfodau, but there are also a number of mounted holograph letters, 'cut-out' signatures from holograph letters, and franks.
