An extensive collection of hymn-tunes begun by Thomas Jones at the age of twenty-three, in 1841. A large number of the signed tunes are by John Ambrose Lloyd. Other composers represented are J. The music by 'Owain Alaw' includes the 'Magnificat' and 'Nunc Dimittis' which he composed for the Llanberis church choir in June 1852, and another 'Magnificat' in 1859.

An album of miscellaneous press cuttings from Welsh and Welsh American newspapers, compiled by John Jones ('Myrddin Fardd'). The titles include 'Anerchiad Llewelyn Williams oddiar y Maen Llog, Mehefin 17eg 1909', 'Hen Hymnau', 'Hanes Blaenywaun. Gan B. Rees, YH' (review by J. Spinther James), 'Eisteddfod Gadeiriol Caernarfon, Nadolig, 1902' (adjudication by J. Spinther James), 'Enwogion Cymreig America', 'Crwydriadau Llyfrbryf', 'Bedd Howel Harris', 'Drws Coed, yn mhlwyf Beddgelert' (by O[wen] W[illiams], Waunfawr), 'Seren Foreu' (prospectus; to begin publication July 1846), etc. The volume also includes draft notes and extracts mainly in the hand of 'Myrddin Fardd' and largely on Welsh biographies, including an introduction ('Rhagfynegiad') to a work entitles 'Llenorion Lleyn'.

Fifteen manuscript tune books belonging to Iolo Morganwg, including five volumes of hymn-tunes composed by him for his Welsh hymns or 'salmau', each entitled 'Salmyddiaeth Iolo Morganwg' or variants thereof (E2/1-5), together with several others containing at least some salmau (E2/8-12). Also included are volumes containing English hymns (E2/6, 11), Tribannau (E2/13) and Scottish airs (E2/15).

They contain hymn-tunes, anthems and psalm-tunes, mainly by John Williams, Dolgellau, with a few tunes by R[ichard] Mills ['Rhydderch Hael'], one by I. R. Ellis, Dolgellau, 1841, and traditional and anonymous tunes; a poem entitled 'Amgylchiadau Marwolaeth Crist', an 'englyn' ('Y Farchnad Ysprydol'), 'englynion' by 'Shion Rhydderch', three hymns ('Mae'r gwaed a redodd ar y Groes', 7 stanzas, and 'Wrth edrych ar y sail', 4 stanzas, 'Ni'm diystyrir gan fy Nuw', 1 stanza), and a recipe for a cough.
