A miscellany written during the period 1762-5 by Rowland Jones, Pandy [Llanuwchllyn]. It contains poetry in free metres and some 'englynion', prognostications of Erra Pater based on the incidence of New Year's Day, and particulars of the phases of the moon in the year 1765. The poets mentioned by name include Cadwaladr Dafydd, Morgan Thomas 'o Gynllwyd', Robert Thomas, and Rowland Jones, but most of the poems are either unsigned or incomplete as a result of mutilation of folios. Memoranda in a later hand, probably by one Rees Jones, refer to spare and wanting copies of Y Dysgedydd and Seren [Gomer] for 1820-4, and other later entries associate the volume with the Llangadfan and Llanerfyl districts.

A volume of holograph poetry including 'Englynion y Credo' by 'T[wm] Pedrog', unsigned 'englynion' entitled 'Seh Yootuch. Rebmetpes 25 1798', and 'englynion' entitled 'Yr Ochenaid' by 'Tudwal Bach or Cwmmwd'. The latter series is ascribed to 'Twm Pedrog' in John Jones: Cynfeirdd Lleyn (1905). On the last page of the volume is the following inscription:- 'Thos. Williams' Book 1797. Thomas Williams was born at Llan-bedrog, on Wednes[da]y the 25th Day of May, in the Year of ou[r] Lord 1774. Baptized the 31st of May follow[in]g. Bapt[ize]d Twm Pedrog by Dafydd Ddu o'r Eryri at Penmorfa in an Eisteddfod 26th of May 1795'.

(Y Mwythig: John Rhydderch, 1716), with eight folios stitched in at the beginning of the volume containing verse and prose in the hand of Thomas Williams, 'Merchant Taylor', 1753-1756, including a Welsh version of the legend of the Wandering Jew (ff. i-v) and 'Englynion i bont llanrwst', 1635, attributed to 'John Roger, wever of llwyn Bleuddun in llan-llechid Parish' (f. viir-v). Transcripts of poetry by Rhys Prichard, vicar of Llandovery, and other verse also appear on pp. 2, 13-16 of the printed work.

A cycle of three interludes on the history of the world, and miscellaneous poems, mainly englynion and poetry in carol metres, autograph, 1739-1758, by Thomas Williams, 'Merchant Taylor' (ca. 1690-1763), Tal-y-bont, Llandygai, Caernarfonshire, all of which appear in his published work Mynegiad yr hen oesoedd ... (London, 1761). Folios i (the original front cover), 1-6, 136-41 are palimpsests. The underwriting, partly legible under ultra-violet light, is from fifteenth and sixteenth century court records relating to Caernarfonshire, consisting mainly of lists of names.

The contents consist of Welsh poems, 1763-1764 and undated, by the said John Williams, all the compositions except one being in strict metre.
