A scrapbook for 1861 compiled by Arthur Owen (1832-1898) containing extracts from newspapers and journals of that year and from printed works, transcripts of poetry by Mrs Penderel Llewelyn, Llangynwyd, and by Alfred Dawson, poetry by Arthur Owen himself, and correspondence in Hebrew between Arthur Owen and Rabbi D. W. Marks.

A collection of some fifty-seven miscellaneous autograph letters, 1686/7-1930, mostly of Welsh interest, brought together by the dealer and collector Edward Hall, Surbiton.
Eighteen of the letters are correspondence of the barrister J. W. Buck, his wife Sophia (née Brigstoke, of Blaenpant, Cardiganshire), his sister Mrs Sarah Whittaker and their respective families, 1792-1825 (ff. 5-8, 10-43). Twelve letters, 1851, from various Welsh boroughs to H. W. R. Davey, Mayor of Beccles, Suffolk, relate to requests for copies of their borough seals (ff. 48-62). Papers relating to the incident when SOE commando William Killick fired bullets into Majoda, New Quay, in 1945 and was later charged with, but acquitted, of the attempted murder of Dylan Thomas and friends. Also included are papers from the Foreign Office relating to William Killick and his own account of his war experiences in Greece, from where he had just returned when the shooting happened.

Research papers, [2006]-[2008], of the donor David N. Thomas for his book Fatal neglect : who killed Dylan Thomas? published by Seren in 2008, concerning the circumstances of the poet's death, including material photocopied mainly from sources at the Special Collections, University of Delaware Library, and also at the Harry Ransom Humanities Research Center at the University of Texas at Austin.

Eighty letters, 1939-1966, to John Davenport, literary critic and friend of Dylan Thomas, much of the correspondence relating to literary matters (ff. 1-91). There are references to Thomas throughout, including detailed (and contrasting) accounts, by John Malcolm Brinnin (ff. 12-13) and George Reavey (ff. 71-72 verso), of events surrounding his death.

Correspondence and papers, 1980-1982, relating to the laying of a memorial stone to Dylan Thomas in Poets' Corner at Westminster Abbey, together with papers relating to the presentation of the first Dylan Thomas Award, 1983 (ff. 130-3) and two letters, 1964, to Mervyn Levy concerning the poet (ff. 134-6). The correspondents include Daniel Jones (3) 1982, John Ormond (4) 1981, Aeronwy Thomas-Ellis (15 draft and copy letters) 1981-1982, and Llewelyn Thomas (2) 1982.

Thirty-five letters, 1944-1957, to the artists' model Mary Keene, comprising twenty-three from her friend Caitlin Thomas, 1945-1954 (ff. 1-30), six from the latter's sister Brigit Marnier, 1944-1949 (ff. 33-43), and six from Florence Thomas, mother of Dylan Thomas, 1954-1957 (ff. 44-53), all containing personal and family news.
Also included is a letter, 11 October 1950, to Caitlin Thomas from her domestic help, Dolly Long of Laugharne (ff. 31-32). There are numerous references to Dylan Thomas (ff. 1 verso-10 passim, 19, 20 27 verso) and his funeral (ff. 43-44) and to Caitlin (in addition to her own letters) (ff. 36 verso, 44-54 passim). An autograph letter, 3 September [16]08, from Fr[ancis Godwin, bishop of] Llandaff, from Mathern, to [Richard Bancroft], archbishop of Cant[erbury], on behalf of the clergy of Glamorganshire. The writer informs the archbishop that the clergy of the said shire, having been summoned 'to shewe their armour before the Lieutennantes of the cou[ntie] . . ., and their men to be mustred', were very perplexed, not 'knowing how to satisfy this comaund, for that they neuer were yett rated at any armour, but only once, viz., some 13 yeares since'. If they were rated as highly on the present as on the previous occasion, owing to their poverty, they would not be able to meet the demands made upon them without suffering great hardship. They begged, therefore, to be allowed to petition the Privy Council for a reduction in the demands to be made on this occasion

An incomplete volume of free- and strict-metre poetry in the hand of, and largely by, David Thomas ('Dafydd Ddu Eryri') of Waunfawr, Caernarvonshire. The dated poems belong to the years 1782-1785, 1800, and 1808. A ledger, 1858-1892, kept by David Peate (1831-1896), carpenter and wheelwright, of Tafarnnewydd and Glanllyn, Llanbrynmair, Montgomeryshire.

The Llanbrynmair Congregational church covenant (Cyfamod eglwysig a gytunwyd arno gan y gymdeithas gynnulleidfaol o ymneullduwyr protestanaidd yn Llanbrynmair), with a list of members, written by John Roberts circa 1798, and The names of the children belonging to the school sent to Dr. Williams Trustees, Feb. 19th, 1810.

Literary papers of John Tripp, [1967]-[1975], comprising manuscript and typescript poetry (ff. 1-26, 28-116, 130-151, 166-171), short stories (ff. 117-118, 152-153) and scripts for radio plays (ff. 119-129, 154-165).
The poetry includes original manuscript and typescript working sheets (ff. 1-26), photocopies of published poems (ff. 166-171), fair typescript copies (typed by Fay Williams) and photocopies of original typescripts (typed by John Tripp) of poems, seventy-two mainly unpublished (ff. 28-100), and twenty-one published in The Meaning of Apricot Sponge: Selected writings of John Tripp, ed. by Tony Curtis (Cardigan, 2010) (ff. 130-151), and a series of twelve poems entitled 'Intervals of Heat', mainly unpublished (ff. 101-116). The short story 'Ferret and Weasel' (ff. 152-153) and the verse play for radio 'The Seed of Dismemberment' (ff. 154-165) were published in The Meaning of Apricot Sponge, while 'Confessions of an English Tutor' and 'Sketches from Provincial Love' (ff. 117-129) remain unpublished. Also included is a letter to Tripp from Meic Stephens, 9 September 1968 (f. 6 verso), and a draft letter from Tripp to John Stuart Williams, 2 April 1969 (f. 27).
