Stage productions

Material relating to the numerous stage productions in which Siân Phillips has appeared throughout her career, beginning with the school, chapel and Urdd events of her childhood, through her acting rôles while studying at Cardiff University and at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA) and continuing for the duration of her professional life. Some of the productions co-star Siân Phillips' second husband Peter O'Toole, or her third husband, Robin Sachs. The material includes Siân Phillips' guest appearances at public events. A substantial number of the items are annotated by Siân Phillips and/or by friends and colleagues.

The Welsh Quoits Archive, comprising material relating to British quoiting, the majority of the material relating to quoiting in Wales, including: match programmes, posters and flyers, match listings and statistics; rules and regulations of quoiting; press cuttings relating to quoiting matches, quoiting clubs and club members; newsletters; correspondence between quoiting clubs, between individual club members and between clubs and members of the public; items relating to notable quoiting club occasions such as centenaries and anniversaries; and miscellaneous material relating to quoiting, including information relating to the history of the game. The bulk of the material relates to quoiting in Wales, mainly involving international matches (the majority of which were against Scotland) played on Welsh soil. One particularly notable item is a copy of a printed booklet titled The History of Quoits in Wales by Albert Baker (published by J. R. Davies in 1949), which is enclosed with a letter, 14 December 2000, to Linda Evans, Joint Secretary of the Welsh Quoiting Board, from Darryl Baker, grandson of the author (see under heading Quoiting: Wales: Correspondence: Letters to Linda Evans).

Material relating to quoiting in Wales, comprising international and county league match programmes, posters, flyers and statistics; correspondence addressed to Linda Evans and Parry Evans, Joint Secretaries of the Welsh Quoiting Board, and to Welsh national quoits team member Brian Penny; details of dinners, receptions and lunches held to celebrate or otherwise mark international quoiting events; copies of rules and regulations of Welsh quoiting; press cuttings relating to quoiting in Britain; and miscellaneous items relating to quoiting. This section of the archive is partially sub-divided into material relating to quoiting in Montgomeryshire, which includes Caersws Quoiting Club, and to Llanarthney Quoiting Club, Carmarthenshire.
