A notebook in the hand of John Jones ('Myrddin Fardd') containing extracts of Caernarfonshire interest from J. E. Griffith, Pedigrees of Anglesey and Carnarvonshire Families (Horncastle, 1914).

Notes (largely crossed out) relating to [Thomas Williams] 'Twm Pedrog', Cadwaladr Cesail, Wiliam Llŷn and Sir John Owen in the autograph of John Jones ('Myrddin Fardd'), with one or two press cuttings, etc. Number '8' on cover.

A composite volume containing day and memoranda books of Ebenezer Thomas ('Eben Fardd') and of his children James E[benezer] Thomas and Catherine Thomas. They include a few diary entries of Catherine Thomas, 1846-9; parish relief accounts of Catherine Thomas and others, 1847-56; Old Testament annals; a catechism; biographical notes (dates and times of births, etc.) on members of the family of 'Eben Fardd'; poetry by James E. Thomas entitled 'Englynion Iago Fardd' and 'Cynnygion at Farddoniaeth gan Iago Fardd pan yn 16 oed'; log entries relating to Bangor British School, 1850, and particulars of qualifications required of pupil teachers, etc.; particulars of qualifications required of candidates for admission to Bala [CM] College, extracted from a letter from the Principal, L[ewis] Edwards to 'Eben Fardd', 1842; questions and answers on Scripture history and on English history; essays on 'Perseverance', 'Liberty', 'Wonders of Creation', 'The Memory', and 'Peace of Conscience' by James E. Thomas, September - October, 1858; an essay by 'Austin' [J. E. Genealogical notes, etc. in the autograph of John Jones ('Myrddin Fardd'), including notes on various Caernarvonshire families (e.g. Llandegwning [Williams], Saython, Nanhoron, Penardd, Wern-fawr, &c.), accounts of Gruffydd ab Cynan and Bleddyn ab Cynfyn and their descendants, a copy of a petition, undated, relating to Pwllheli Free School, and particulars of tombs at Edeyrn, Bodvean monuments, etc. The first page is headed 'From Kersley's Heraldry', otherwise the source is not given.
