Poetry, &c.,

A manuscript containing poetry (pp. 3-10, 54-179, 181-362), the poets cited including Iolo Goch, Dafydd ap Gwilym, Tudur Aled, Guto'r Glyn and Siôn Phylip; medical recipes taken from the texts of Meddygon Myddfai (pp. 11-16); Disgrifiad Arfau ('a Jon Trevor ai troes or Lladin ar ffrangeck yn gymraeck - August 1 . 1632' (pp. 25-53); a copy of a document relating to the boundaries of Cyfeiliog (p. 180), which bears a note at the end: 'It doeth beare date 1204 Mr. Edw: Herbert of Mountgomery had thorriginall deed in keepinge; Mr. Jenkyn gwyn and Mr. Ifan llwyd ap dd: esqrs. did copy the same per me Wythen Jones.'
The text is written in several hands, the principal hand occurring at pp. 3-10, 55-222, ?267-350, c. 1636 (see p. 219). The text was copied from a manuscript belonging to Evan Bowen of Penyrallt, Llanidloes.

Medical recipes, &c.,

A manuscript containing medical recipes, lists of names of medicinal plants, etc.
Much of the text agrees practically with that of the Meddygon Myddfai, but the order is quite different, and the wording varies also.

Hen draddodiadau tywydd, etc.

A volume compiled by David Evans ('Dewi Glan Llugwy'), Llanrwst, containing weather lore entitled 'Hen Draddodiadau Dywediadau a Diarebion yr hen Bobl ynghylch y tywydd &c yn yr Oesoedd gynt Wedi eu Casglu ynghyd o lyfrau a hen ysgrifau a chan hen Bobl ...'; extracts from 'Llyfr Meddygon Myddfai'; 'Wyth Ran Dyn a'u hanian'; a collection of old traditions ('Casgliad o Hen Draddodiadau') of interest to Edeyrnion, Llandrillo-yn-Rhos, Mochdre, Castell Dinas Bran, etc., and tales and traditions entitled 'Siarad o Bulpud', 'Syr Watcyn ar Gwyddelod', 'Llyn Tegid', 'Pont ap Hywel [Pontypool]', and 'Gwrecsam'; rules of multiplication ('Rheol Lluosogiad') taken from a manuscript in the parish of Llanelian, Denbighshire; and 'Hirhoedledd', being an account of the descendants of a long-lived couple in Tregaron, 1874.
