A volume originally used largely by the Reverend Thomas Richards, Darowen as an account book, 1821-6, of the Darowen Auxiliary of the Society for Promoting Christianity among the Jews ('Cymdeithas Gynnorthwyol ir Iuddewon' or 'Cyfaill Israel'). The Auxiliary Society was established on 12 January 1821 and the account book contains rules, lists of officers, particulars of individual subscriptions (and of collections previously made during the period 1816-20), and copies of letters of acknowledgment of annual contributions to the parent Society. The remainder, and by far the greater part, of the volume was subsequently used largely by Mary Richards to record transcripts of 'carolau', 'englynion', 'cywyddau', hymns, etc. by Hugh Jones (Maesglase), W. Inside the lower cover is a printed announcement of the formation of Chester Cymmrodorion Society, 1822.

A collection of 'cerddi', 'carolau', etc. by Hugh Morris, together with a 'cerdd' by Huw Jones, Llangwm, a 'cerdd' by the Reverend Walter Davies ['Gwallter Mechain'], anonymous 'englynion, 'carolau' and some financial accounts, 1805 and undated. The volume is in the hand of Huw Jones, Llangwm, with a few later additions by Elizabeth Maurice and by Mary Richards, Darowen. It belonged to Thomas Powel, 1804, and Martha Powel, 1805, and also bears the names of Henry Powel, 1756, John Jones, carpenter, Pentregayr [Oswestry] and Martha Edwards.

A composite volume of the second quarter of the eighteenth century containing English poetry (eclogues, epigrams and epitaphs); Latin poetry (extracts from Cato, Virgil and Ovid, epitaphs and epigrams); and Welsh poetry largely in free metres. The Welsh poems are generally anonymous but some of them, as well as one of the English epitaphs, are assigned to John Morys (Maurice) (1736-47), and there are single compositions by Humph[rey] Owen, B[ardd] C[wsg] (1732), J[ohn] R[hydderch], E[van] W[illiam] and Owen Griff[ydd] (1733). An addition to the volume contains a poem in Welsh by 'Gilielmus Didymus' (1755). . Inscribed in the hand of Mary Richards, Darowen on the inside upper cover: 'Pwy a ddwyn hwn Bydd ei ran gyda Lladron yn Dragwyddol'.

Two volumes in the hand of Mary Richards, Darowen consisting largely of transcripts of poetry from manuscripts then in the Llansilin Collection (e.g. Cwrtmawr MSS 204, 206-7, 227, 238, 242-3). Other transcripts in the collection are items from 'copy o un [o] lyfrau Maesglase, Mallwyd', including 'Merddin ai dywaid', 'Taliesin ai traethoedd', Merddin ai Traethodd', 'Taliesin ai Traethodd', and 'Merddin a Gwenddydd'. A volume of transcripts of poetry by Dafydd ap Gwilym, together with a few 'englynion' and 'cywyddau' by Wm Morris, G[ruffudd] Grug, Dafydd ap Edmund, Rhys Gôch Glan Ceiriog, Dafydd Nanmor, Iolo Goch, R[obin] Ddu, and some anonymous 'englynion'. The transcripts are taken from UCNW Bangor MS 6. A note by Mary Richards, Darowen on p. 1 ascribes the volume to John William[s], musician ('Cyfansoddwr Tona'), Dolgelley, probably John Williams ('Ioan Rhagfyr') (see Thomas Parry (gol.): Gwaith Dafydd ap Gwilym (Caerdydd, 1952) pp. c1xviii-clxix). At the end of the volume is a table entitled 'Rhannau Monwent Dar-Owen megis y dosparthwyd ag y cyweiriwyd hwynt ar eiriol David Davies vicar yno, gan ddechrau, o barth dwyrain Ty'r Vicar ag felly diwygio oddi amgylch Mai yr 28 1636' (' ... carefully transcribed out of the original by me Lewis Jones Vicar of Darowen' - a Chopiwyd genyf inneu or Terrier Darowen. M. R. Dar[owen]'). Tipped into the volume are a bond, 14 February 1690/1, from David Jones of Cowarch, Merionethshire, gent. to John Thomas Rees of the same, yeoman for the observance of covenants, and a poem in free metre entitled 'Myfyrdod y Parchedig Mr [Roderick] Lewis Periglor Llanbrynmair Uwchben Bedd ei ddiweddar Wraig', 1829. Among a number of items laid on the inside lower cover is Ychydig o gynghorion buddiol i Bobl Ieuainc, Wrth fyned i wasanaeth (Treffynnon, n.d.).

Seven of the 'cywyddau' are said to have been transcribed from 'llyfr maesglase' and one 'englyn' from 'hen lyfyr Cadwaladr David'.

A volume labelled 'Llyfr Cerddi William Morgan', being a collection largely of poetry compiled during the late seventeenth and early eighteenth century by William Morgan (died 1728), Plassegwynio[n], Llanymawddwy, Merioneth. It contains 'Yr Eisteddfod ynghaerwys ... y 26 o fis May yn y nawfed flwyddyn o deyrnasiad y fre[n]hines Elizabeth ...'
