The series comprises a letterbook containing copies of letters written by O.M. Edwards to various members of his family including his parents and brothers. They were all written whilst he was a student at Aberystwyth. Some of the letters are lengthy and describe in detail events at the college and locally at Aberystwyth. They also contain references to Llanuwchllyn and to members of the Edwards family.

This file of letters, which came to light after the rest of the O. M. Edwards Papers had been catalogued, comprises detailed letters penned by Edwards while a student at the University College of Wales, Aberystwyth. They describe his surroundings, experiences and activities in some detail and give a vivid portrait of a student's life at Aberystwyth in the early 1880s.

Diaries of Geraint Dyfnallt Owen, comprising diary entries in Welsh, 9-23 January 1928, as an undergraduate student at Aberystwyth (MS 23325B); diaries, mainly in English, 8 February-3 December 1931, while at Oxford (MSS 23326B-23327A, the latter also including an account of a visit to Brittany, 23 July-7 September 1931); and diaries spanning the period spent as a Research Fellow of UCW, Aberystwyth, 1932-1936 (MSS 23328-23333A), and as a member of staff of the BBC in Cardiff and Swansea, 1937-1938 (MSS 23334-23336B) and London, 1940-1941 (MS 23337B). This last diary, written in Welsh, contains a commentary on the progress of the Second World War, including the background to certain events and forecasts concerning their outcome.

Early education materials from Lewis School, Pengam, 1934-1936; undergraduate materials at the University College of Wales, Aberystwyth, 1936-1940; minute books of the Joint Wages Board of Local Authorities of Monmouthshire, 1922-1951, and bills and receipts from the Gabalfa Nursing Cadet Division of the Venerable Order of the Hospital of St John of Jerusalem, 1952-1959.

The letters, 1895-1925, discuss Welsh political life, the attempts to regenerate Mudiad Cymru Fydd, historical records relating to Flintshire, the foundation of the National Library of Wales, its location at Aberystwyth, and appeals for increased government funding and the passage of the copyright legislation, developments at the University College of Wales, Aberystwyth, and the federal University of Wales, the possibility of establishing a Public Record Office for Wales, and the selection of Liberal candidates in Welsh constituencies for the 'Coupon' General Election of December 1918.

The letters, 1897-1924, discuss the work of the Guild of Graduates of the University of Wales, especially its Literature Section, the publication of Gweithiau Morgan Llwyd o Wynedd, and the work of re-printing the Welsh classics by the Guild. There are also references to the internal politics of the University of Wales and the colleges at Aberystwyth and Bangor and to other appointments in which Sir John Edward Lloyd had an interest.

Miscellaneous typescripts, c. 1900-1920, on a very wide range of subjects, including a number of copies of references and testimonials. They include material relating to the University College of Wales, Aberystwyth, the National Library of Wales, the Ancient Monuments Board for Wales, the League of Nations Union, and many items of Cardiganshire interest. The events covered in the various typescripts date back to 1753.

A holograph essay on 'Welsh Social Life as reflected in the Poems of Lewis Glyn Cothi' by 'Llynor' [E. Stanton Roberts]. The work was submitted for, and awarded, the T. E. Ellis Essay Prize at University College of Wales, Aberystwyth, during the Session 1909-1910.

The file comprises letters relating mainly to matters arising from the House of Lords and to Lady White's public work, notably in relation to environmental concerns. Some concern Welsh affairs, among them devolution, the affairs of the Honourable Society of Cymmrodorion, and the University College of Wales, Aberystwyth. A few relate to Lady White's work for the Dictionary of National Biography. Most of the letters, 1899-1926, concern research and publishing matters and the affairs of the Honourable Society of Cymmrodorion and its meetings. Many of the letters discuss the preparation and publication of Davies's Bibliography of Welsh Ballads and various articles and notes. There are occasional references to the University College of Wales, Aberystwyth, and to the establishment of the National Library of Wales.

Comprises correspondence and papers, 1918-45, reflecting David Davies's work as a public figure within Wales and beyond. Contains material relating to Davies's links with various societies and groups, including the Montgomeryshire Quarter Sessions, the Montgomeryshire County Council and its committees, the University College of Wales, Aberystwyth, the preparation of Davies's book The Problem of the Twentieth Century (1930), the School Journey Association, Henlys Ltd., Henly House, London, the Royal Institute of International Affairs, the Law School of Havard University, and the South Wales Federation of Boys' Clubs. The file also includes lists of individuals who had received a copy of Lord Davies's monograph 'Nearing the Abyss: the Lesson of Ethiopia' (1936).
