Miscellaneous manuscript and printed material, 1775-1870, relating to Captain John Phillips of Liverpool, his heirs, and the Smalls Lighthouse on the Pembrokeshire coast, the building of which he instigated, including two broadsides, articles of agreement, legal opinions, autograph letters and the signed document by which Phillips transferred the management of the lighthouse to Trinity House.

A copy of part of Chetham Library MS 6715 containing Wyth ran rhieni, being pedigrees to great grandparents, together with coats of arms of the noblemen and gentry of Pembrokeshire.

Miscellaneous legal and other letters and papers, 1765-1843, mainly of Pembrokeshire interest and including letters sent by John Swale of Lincoln's Inn, etc., to Richard Knethell, attorney-at-law, Hook, near Haverfordwest, other recipients of letters being John Bateman, Haverfordwest, W. B. Thomas, vicar of Steynton, and William Evans, solicitor, Haverfordwest.
