Volume intitled 'Survey. Breconshire estates. 1820', being a survey of the Breconshire and Herefordshire estates of Sir Charles Morgan, presented to him by Thomas Bold, agent, March 1821. The estates are divided into the Tredegar estate (4,555a), Dderw estate (1,572a.), Palleg estate (2,164a.) and Herefordshire estate (487a.), and include interests in canals and other utilities.

Letter, 2 January [1682], from John Edwards to [Henry] Herbert concerning the holding of courts at Dud[le]ston, and asking whether it is a manor or a hundred.

The file comprises invitations to exhibitions at the Tate Gallery, British Museum, Hanover Gallery, Leicester galleries and various other galleries, predominantly in London, 1945-1970 (with gaps) with exhibition catalogues for George Stubbs (1957), Augustus John (1948), Andre Bauchant (1960), Paule Vezelay and Winifred Nicholson (1954), Ben Nicholson (1954), Lady Patricia Ramsay (1959), the '56 Group [Wales]', and The New English Art Club (1945).

The book was written between 1787 and 1802. It apparently belonged to the estate of Mr. Swettenham of Cheshire.

Caernarvon; manuscripts, papers and volumes relating to local government and the administration of justice in the counties of Caernarfon, Anglesey and Merioneth, 1685-1905; together with a manuscript volume of 'Old Welsh Melodies' collected by John Ceiriog Hughes, 'Ceiriog', Caersws, and presented by him to Nicholas Bennett, 1885.

A manuscript containing the names of all rectories 'in the kingdom of England and Calais and the Marches thereof' of the annual value of over £10, arranged in dioceses, deaneries and counties, followed by the names of all vicarages in England, Wales and the Marches of the annual value of over £10, similarly arranged, all having been transcribed from the Liber Regis in the First Fruits and Tenths Office.

One of two volumes containing lists of lands and manors mentioned in thirteen of the books of liveries preserved among the miscellaneous books of the Court of Wards and Liveries. The places have been entered under the names of English counties, this first volume containing names taken from volumes 1-8. According to a note, 1719, by C. Manuscripts and papers collected by Canon Trevor Owen (d. 1916). They include a group of papers of Sir William Williams ('Speaker Williams', 1634-1700), papers of John Williams (1700-87), attorney-general of the Chester Circuit and Chief Justice of the Brecon Circuit, and papers of John Roberts, Maes-y-porth ([1767]-1824), deputy registrar of the diocese of Bangor. The papers of Sir William Williams include personal papers and correspondence mainly relating to his purchase of the Llanforda estate, 1678-88; papers and correspondence re his offences and fine in scandalum magnatum against James II and the Earl of Peterborough, 1684-9; legal papers linked with his work, 1675-98; political papers and correspondence concerning parliamentary proceedings and the religious issues of the Stuart period, 1668-c. 1700; and printed political pamphlets and poetry, 1676-[1697x1700]. The papers of John Williams all relate to his legal work, c.1740 x c.1787. Canon Trevor Owen's own papers comprise deeds, mainly for lands in Denbigh, 1741-1883, and correspondence about a legal case, 1882-3. The papers of John Roberts comprise deeds, 1773-c. 1820, and correspondence, 1800-17, connnected with his work as deputy registrar of Bangor, and Maes y porth estate deeds, papers and correspondence, 1774-1827. The collection also contains deeds re premises in Neston, Cheshire, 1731-1802; and miscellaneous 18th-19th century papers.

Title deeds and other documents of depositor's clients, 1557-1939, relating to properties in Brecknockshire, 1557-1939, in particular to the Little Bell, Brecon, 1759-1883, and to the Pant Griffith estate, Merthyr Cynog, 1705-1856; in Glamorgan, 1731-1920, including the Court Rhyd-hir estate, 1731-1920; and in Radnorshire, 1639-1800, Monmouthshire, 1756-1834, and Herefordshire, 1557-1763.

The printers' copy (typescript, with manuscript emendations) of D[avid] E[ rwyd] Jenkins (ed.): Religious Societies (Dr. Woodward's 'Account') . . . ( Liverpool, 1935), in which sections of Josiah Woodward: An Account of the Religious Societies in the City of London, &c., and of their Endeavours for Reformation of Manners (4th ed., enlarged, London, 1712), were reprinted, with a historical introduction by D. E. Jenkins, dealing more specifically with Wales.

The series consists of papers relating to exhibitions of 'Pictures, Water Colour Drawings and Sketches by Mr. H. Clarence Whaite', at Willis's Rooms, London, 12 January 1911, and 'Exhibition of Pictures by H. Clarence Whaite', at the Walker Art Gallery, Liverpool, 28 January - 11 February 1911, together with numerous invitations to take part in art exhibitions and invitations to private views of exhibitions, 1865-1912.
