Breconshire estate cash books

Cash books, being day books of payments and receipts.
The cash book account ends on 15 July 1940, when the balance of £32 16s. 3d. is transferred to "J. F. Storrar's agency", and the book is closed on 1 Oct. 1940 when the same sum is transferred to the agricultural estate account with the National Provincial Bank, Newport. -- ABA 9/5 and 9/7 are draft cash books covering the period 1894-1921.

Bound carbon copy valuations of lots 1-199 in the Breconshire sale (208 pp.), a much amended typescript draft of lots 1-26 of the Ystradgynlais sale catalogue, and much amended successive printed drafts of lots 1-200 of the Breconshire sale catalogue.

Church House Farm, Llys-wen

Letters and draft indentures relating to the sale by Mary Gladys Honeyfield of Llys-wen to Lord Tredegar's trustees of a parcel of meadow land (4a.), formerly part of Church House Farm, Llys-wen.

Cwm-twrch Miners' Welfare Institute & Club Room

Draft conveyances by the trustees of Courtenay Charles Evan Morgan, lord Tredegar (d. 1934), to trustees appointed under the Mining Industry Act 1920 of a site in Cwm-twrch for a miners' welfare institute. The papers include a model trust deed and a model conveyance suitable for village clubs and institutes, prepared by the Village Clubs Association.

Elizabeth Williams of Bryndu, Llan-ddew

Papers relating to Mrs Elizabeth Williams of Bryndu in the parish of Llan-ddew, including certificates of the baptisms in Llan-ddew of Roger Williams, 1800, and William Williams, 1804. Mrs Williams wanted to deposit the deeds of a house in King Street, Brecon, as collateral security. These papers may be unrelated to the Tredegar estate, as one of the letters is addressed to the National Provincial Bank, Brecon.

Llys-wen school conveyances,

Copy of a conveyance by Lord Tredegar to the rector and churchwarden of the parish of Llys-wen of a piece of ground (1r. 21p.) for the site of Llys-wen National School, 1858, and letters relating to a piece of land, lot 17 in a particulars of sale, withdrawn from the sale and conveyed to the school trustees, 1923-1924.
