Over one hundred letters, 1954-86, to Keidrych Rhys from various correspondents (surnames A-D), mainly in his capacity as editor of Wales and Welsh correspondent of The People, together with poems, short stories and essays submitted to him for publication. The correspondents and contributors include Leo Abse (1) 1966, Glyn Daniel (1) 1977, Rhys Davies (13, with one poem (transcript) and an article) 1958-78, and Desmond Donnelly (1) 1960.

The file comprises mainly of correspondence, 1968-1969, relating to the preliminary meeting and other early meetings of the English Language Section of the Academi. The preliminary meeting was arranged by Meic Stephens and the file includes invitations sent out by him, letters of reply, and letters commenting on this first meeting. The file also includes letters inviting writers to become members of the Academi, their replies and lists of those writers who have accepted or declined membership. There are a few references to discussions about the establishment of a new English language literary magazine, an idea which was rejected for the time being. Texts of Glyn Jones broadcasts,

Scripts of seven radio broadcasts, 1950-1966, by Glyn Jones, or programmes in which he participated. Some contain manuscript amendments in his hand. Also included is a copy of 'Letter from Tuscany', 1986, by John Ormond, presented by the author to Glyn Jones in 1988. It appears that a number of scripts were given to Meic Stephens in 1988, and two letters from him to Robin Reeves, 1996, are attached to a copy of 'An interview between Rhys Davies and Glyn Jones', 1950.

'Wales' Papers,

Some one hundred and thirty letters, 1936-1938, to William Ronald Rees Jones (Keidrych Rhys) from over forty contributors and supporters, mostly covering issues 1-3 of 'Wales'. Some of the most notable correspondents are Roy Campbell (1), Idris Davies (6), Rhys Davies (6), Caradoc Evans (3), George Ewart Evans (5), Margiad Evans (3), Ll. Wyn Griffith (2), Nigel Heseltine (8), Richard Hughes (1), Augustus John (1), Glyn Jones (20), John Lehmann (1), Cedric Morris (2), Mervyn Peake (1), A. G.
