A manuscript containing 'extracts from the Anecdotes of Mr Bowyer', referring to Dr Wotton's edition of the Welsh Laws, etc. (pp. 1-42); and an extract 'from a Pedigree book of Mr. Panton of Plas Gwynn of the gentlemen of Anglesey', with references to the account of Einion ap Gwalchmai (pp. 43-49).

A manuscript in the autograph of Evan Evans (Ieuan Fardd) containing transcripts of the Laws of Hywel Dda from an unidentified manuscript (ff. 1-9) and from the White Book of Hergest (ff. 63-67); a transcript of a commonplace book, temp. James I, the contents of antiquarian interest, being mostly concerned with Druidism and early British history (ff. 25-49); a list of the contents of the White Book of Hergest (f. 68) and transcripts of parts of it (ff. 69-74); a list of the hundreds, commotes and parishes of Wales (ff. 87-110); and various other extracts, etc.

Welsh laws,

A manuscript containing the Welsh laws, described as being 'Variantes Lectiones & Addidamenta Ex Codd. MSS. Gul. Williams Baronetti'. The volume also includes a list of the subjects contained in Llyfr Gwyn Hergest (the White Book of Hergest) (p. 38, part i) and in 'Oes Gwrtheyrn Gwrtheneu' from Llyfr Coch Hergest (the Red Book of Hergest); together with a copy of Mostyn MS 136, pp. 1-44.

The Laws of Hywel Dda,

A manuscript containing 'Leges Hoelianæ ex vetustissimo Exemplario Membranaceo Per Guilielmum Mauricium Lansilinniensem', noted as being 'fideleter Transcriptæ Annno Domini MDCLXII'. The words 'Per Guilielmum Mauricium Lansilinniensem' and 'Anno Domini MDCLXII' have been blottesquely deleted by a hand which has substituted in the margin 'in Bibliothecâ Roberti Vaughan de Hengwrt Armigeri': in other words, it is a transcript of pp. 1-47 of Peniarth MS 28. The text is beautifully written but left unfinished.
In c. 1685 the transcript was noted as being 'curâ Doct: Humphrys Decani Banchorensis'.

A manuscript, apparently in the hand of John David, containing a transcript of Rawlinson MS C. 821 (pp. 1-107); 'Am ossodedigethau Dyfnwal ... moel ...' (pp. 109-110); excerpts, in Welsh, from a very old manuscript of the Laws which was in the possession of John Edwardes of Chirk (pp. 111-128); 'a lettre & exposition of Welsh words in Hoel Da's lawes written to Mr. ffr. Tate [Francis Tate, who has a note dated 23 January 1613 at the end of Vesp. E. XI] ...' (pp. 129-131); and 'The exposition of words' (pp. 132-148).

A manuscript containing the laws of Hywel Dda in Welsh. A note in the hand of Moses Williams reads as follows: 'The original MS. (Bibl: Cott: Titus D. IX) whence this was copy'd from was lost in the fire A.D. 1731. So this is the only perfect Copy of this class'.

Brut y Tywysogion, a Romance of Owen, and the Faith of Sylvester,

A manuscript, beautifully written in part, containing an abridged copy of Brut y Tywysogion to the year 1101 (pp. 1-36), with marginal commentary in English and a brief account of Hywel Dda's Laws interpolated in the text after the year 913; an account of King Arthur's knights, especially Owain ab Eirien [Urien] (pp. 37-62); and an account of the life of Sylvester, who was pope in the time of the Emperor Constantine (pp. 63-69).

Welsh Laws and 'Elucidations',

A manuscript containing Welsh laws (pp. 1-96) and the 'Elucidations' (pp. 97-535), written in the hand of John Jones, Gellilyfdy prior to 25 September 1619 (see pp. 67, 535). Where the text is imperfect Moses Williams has written its contents in the margins.
The text of pp. 1-96 of this manuscript corresponds with that of Peniarth MS 29, pp. 1-51, while the remainder may be a copy of Peniarth MS 278. The original of pp. 97-535 was either imperfect or frequently illegible as dots indicating lacunae are frequent. Much of the matter of this second part is the same as the 'Elucidations' in Ancient Laws and Institutes of Wales, Vol. ii, Book XIV. The text ends abruptly at the beginning of the sixth line on p. 535.

A manuscript containing Pembrokeshire, Cardiganshire and Carmarthenshire pedigrees (ff. 1-76, 80-87); the beginning of the Welsh Laws (ff. 77-79); and a table of the contents of ff. 17-76b (f. 80).
Ff. 17-76b, 80-80b are in the hand of George Owen of Henllys (see f. 59) and are dated 1577-1599; ff. 77-79b are in a later hand; ff. 83-86b belong to 1684; f. 87 is in the autograph of the Reverend Samuel Williams; and ff. 1-16b are in an eighteenth century hand.
