Faculty papers with associated correspondence and some plans for the church of Christ Church, Bala, Llanycil, 1905-1968.

Miscellaneous items relating to the Bala and Llanuwchllyn districts, including: a form, 1918, concerning the employment of German prisoners of war from the Frongoch camp; a list of ruined houses in Llanuwchllyn parish, 1911; a Welsh cowpox vaccination form, 1909; lists of members of a women's society in Llanuwchllyn, 1917-1921; letters, 1913, concerning a parliamentary lobby to discuss crown and common lands, including one letter from William George, Cricieth.

A manuscript in several hands containing draft memoranda of pleas in the Court of Great Sessions for Merionethshire, 1692-1728, and copious legal precedents in the form of transcripts of indentures, wills, bills of complaints, writs, warrants, etc., 1646-1731 and undated, almost all of Merionethshire provenance. The earliest dated document is a certificate, 1646, by Edmond Meyricke in the form of a letter to the Honourable Committees for North Wales at Denbigh Castle touching differences between the parishioners of Llanyckil and the inhabitants of the town of Bala about the division of taxes and mises.

A commonplace book kept by Ioan Pedr containing a large number of notes on a variety of subjects; 'englynion', hymns and other poetry; folk- and nursery-rhymes; tales, games and anecdotes relating mainly to Bala and district; a Welsh translation of Shakespeare: Hamlet, Act I, Scene I; notes on sheep ear-marks, with examples and diagrams; lists of poems by Thomas Edwards ('Twm o'r Nant'); biographical, bibliographical and philological notes, including lists of dialect words; inscriptions and epitaphs at Llanycil church; a copy of a letter written 21 September 1828 from Delaware, U.S.A., by John Edwards ('Eos Glan Twrch') to his parents at Tynyfedw, Cynllwyd, Merioneth; etc.
