Papers of Lady Charlotte Guest (née Bertie), 1827-1851, [?1873], comprising manuscripts of parts of her English translation of the Mabinogion and their accompanying notes, 1838-[1843]; other manuscripts directly related to her work on the Mabinogion, [?late 1830s]-1851; early notes compiled by Charlotte Bertie (later Guest), on a variety of subjects, 1827-[1830s]; and other miscellaneous items including a deed box.

Material relating to the production of Lady Charlotte Guest's English translation of the 'Mabinogion' (London, 1838-49), including facsimiles, a letter from Joseph Fisher, engraver, to Guest, 1838, a modernized (Welsh) version of the tales of 'Branwen ferch Llŷr' and 'Pwyll Pendefig Dyfed', possibly made by John Jones ('Tegid'), original sketches, proofs of illustrations, etc.

Ten letters, 1852-1881, to Lady Charlotte Guest (later Schreiber) from various correspondents, containing mainly personal news; together with one each to her son Ivor (f. 20), her daughter Maria (f. 13), and Henry Thoby Prinsep (f. 17).

Letters (surnames Davies-Hall) addressed mostly to Taliesin Williams (Taliesin ab Iolo).
The correspondents include Walter Davies (Gwallter Mechain), [1812]-1837 (Nos 130-135), David Davis, Neath, 1810-1841 (Nos 137-148), John Davis (Brychan), 1829-1841 (Nos 149-157), Lady Charlotte Guest, 1837-1843 (Nos 191-202), and Augusta Hall, 1834-1841 (Nos 206-250).

Miscellaneous papers, including an extract 'From the Mabinogion of Lady Guest' [cf. The Mabinogion ... translated with notes, by Lady Charlotte Guest (London, 1877), pp. 74-6], a list of early Welsh books (in the autograph of [Thomas Edward Ellis], an extract from Kinmel MS 76 [NLW MS 1576] relating to Thomas Lloyd of Penmaen, and a bibliography entitled '"Y Bardd Cwsc" by Elis Wyn o Lasynys' [cf. The Journal of the Welsh Bibliographical Society, Vol. IV, pp. 199-208]. There are also a number of blue wrappers from past issues of 'Beibl Peter Williams' (1770) and the Welsh edition of Cann's Bible (1790) with printed proposals, Trefecca, 1786, relating to the latter, and part of a notebook (eighteenth century), which belonged to David Jones of Bryn y Rhig near Dolgelly and others, containing a few 'englynion', etc.
