Walter Davies (Gwallter Mechain), Llanrhaiadr, to Wm Rees, printer, Llandovery, relating to explanatory notes on 'Breuddwyd Rhonabwy' (ff. 1-2); letters from the Rev. W. J. Rees, Cascob Rectory, Presteigne, to Lady Guest, 3 January 1843, informing her of the existence of a copy of the Greal at Hengwrt (ff. 3-4), and 8 April 1843, forwarding information concerning the Greal, which accompanies the letter (ff. 7-9); letters from the Rev. T. Price (Carnhuanawc), Y Persondy, to Lady Guest, 7 January 1843, concerning his 'Quest of Charlemagne', with 'Notes for the Opening Note to Taliesin' (f. 5), 13 March 1843, containing criticism of her treatment of the 'Tair Gormes' and references to translations and proof-reading (f. 6), 6 May 1843, enclosing the M. Hughes letter, now f. 11 (see below), and advising her concerning the copy of the Greal at Hengwrt (f. 11), and 12 May 1843, relating to 'Breuddwyd Maxen' and 'Taliesin', and criticising Dr Wm Owen Pughe (f. 12); a letter, 1 May 1843, from [the Rev.] M[organ] Hughes, Corwen, to [the Rev. T. Price (Carnhuanawc)], replying to a request, on behalf of Lady Guest, concerning the Greal MS at Hengwrt (f. 10); and a letter, 20 May 1843, from Aneurin Owen to [William] Rees, Llandovery, relating to the Greal (ff. 13-14). Also included is a brief note in the hand of Carnhuanawc, concerning the Greal, [n.d.] (f. 15).
