A printed account by Arlunydd Penygarn of 'Peithynen and Coelbren y Beirdd'; letters, 1846-1847, from Thomas Price ('Carnhuanawc') to Jonathan Reynolds ('Nathan Dyfed').

An album of annotated autographs, photographs and engravings, printed matter, press cuttings, etc., compiled during the years 1858-1881. The volume is almost entirely devoted to persons who were prominent in the literary and musical life of Wales during this period, and it appears from internal evidence to have been well known to the compiler's friends and contemporaries. The autographs are largely in the form of personal entries, recorded mainly at national and other eisteddfodau, but there are also a number of mounted holograph letters, 'cut-out' signatures from holograph letters, and franks. Glamorgan collectanea of William Davies, Cringell, near Neath, classical scholar and historian (see The Journal of the Welsh Bibliographical Society, Vol. II, July 1916). The material includes Queries proposed [by William Davies] to the nobility gentry and clergy of Glamorganshire, with a view to illustrate the history of that county; two draft proposals for publishing the history of Glamorganshire, the second of them printed at Swansea in 1803, together with a prospectus and request for subscribers dated 19 July 1810; two letters, 20 September 1823 and 25 October 1823, from David Davis, Unitarian minister, Neath (son of David Davis, Castell Hywel) to John Montgomery Traherne giving the writer's reason for buying the manuscripts of William Davies and informing Traherne that if Thomas Rees would not prepare the material for publication Thomas Price ('Carnhuanawc') would be asked to do so.
