Tables prepared for the Welsh Land Commission showing acreage and rents of farms on the Glanllyn estate, Merioneth, the property of Sir Watkin Williams Wynn, bart, Wynnstay.

A rental of rents [due to the Crown] in the counties of Anglesey, Carnarvon, Chester, Denbigh, Flint, Merioneth, and Montgomery in 1781, with [the auditor's] remarks. At the beginning of the volume is a list headed 'List of North Wales Debentures', being an account of sums payable in fees and otherwise to Crown officials (such as the baron of Carnarvon exchequer, the sheriffs of the six counties, the constables of Beaumaris, Carnarvon, Conway, Harleigh and Flint castles, the chief forester of Snowdon, etc.,) and to other persons in North Wales.

Rental, 1893-1916, of the Garthgwynion, Machynlleth, Bonsall & Howell, Aberdyfi, and Llanfair estates, the property of Mrs Howell and subsequently of J. M. Howell, Plas Penhelig, Aberdyfi, Merioneth. The properties mentioned are situated in the parishes of Machynlleth, Isygarreg, Llanbryn-mair (Dylife), Llanfair Caereinion, co. Montgomery, and Towyn (Aberdyfi), co. Merioneth.

A volume containing rentals, 1727-1735, of the estate of William Owen, of Brogyntyn and Clenennau, in the parishes of Ffestiniog, Llanaber, Llandanwg, Llanddwywe, Llandecwyn, Llanfihangel-y-traethau, Llanfor and Llanfrothen, Merionethshire (ff. 1-60 verso), together with disbursements, 1728-1737 (ff. 62-80 inverted text).
A note of repairs to be done at Ystumcegid occurs on f. ii and a veterinary recipe for cattle on f. 8 verso. Tipped into the volume are two lawyers' bills, 1726 (f. 78), and two tradesmen's bills, 1813 (f. 22 verso).

Griffith Nanney, 1603; the opinion of George Lee concerning a Portuguese ship wrecked on the Merioneth coast, 1746; a draft petition for an Act to enclose Traeth Mawr and Traeth Bychan; a contract to erect a shire hall at Dolgelley, 1606; the divisions of Merioneth with their proportional assessments, 1689; a canvass for Mr Vaughan and a copy of R. W. Vaughan's address to Merioneth electors, 1796; a rental of Robert Morgan's estate; and the petition of Sir Robert Heath to Charles I.
Instructions to Sir William Bowes, Robert Bowes, and Lord Eure (Scottish border, 1589-1599), Sir George Carey in Ireland with the Earl of Essex, 1598, Mr Carrow Raleigh concerning musters, and Sir Thomas Shirley, Lord Sheffield, Dr Dale, and Mr Bodley (Low Countries, 1586-1598); instructions concerning the expedition to Spain, 1596; papers relating to the proposed Spanish marriage, 1623; speeches and petitions in Parliament, 1623-1626; a list of grants to the Duke of Buckingham and proceedings relating to his impeachment, 1626; and a letter by Ra: Eure, John Harbert, and Daniell Dunn from Breme, 1602.
Printed proclamations of the assumption of the style of King of Great Brittaine by James I, 1604, and of the calling in of testons, 2 Edward VI.
On the back of the former is a fragment of a Welsh poem beginning - 'a fi'n eiste'n obrydd...'

A folio volume, the contents of which consists mainly of transcripts, in a variety of hands, of Welsh verse in strict metre, including 'cywyddau' and 'englynion' by Tho[mas] lloyd Ienga, Cad[wala]dr Thomas, W[illia]m Phillip, Huw Lloyd Cynfel, John Davies, Owain Griffith, Robert Humphrey (y prydydd bach), John Richart, Davydd lloyd llewelyn ap Gruffyth (o fathafarn), Gutto'r Glynn, Davyd Nanmor, Lewis Môn, Theodor (Tydur) Aled, Robin ddu ap sianckin Bledrydd, Hugh Machno, John Phylyp, Gruffyth Phylip, Richard Kynwal, Ievan llwyd, John Owenes, Philip Jo[h]n Philip, Rys Cain, Jo[h]n V[ augha]n (Caergai), David Davies, Edm[wnd] Prys, and D[avi]d Lloyd ap Will[ ia]m. There is also some Welsh verse in free metre by Rowland Vaughan (Caer Gai). Other items include copies of a rental of chief rents issuing to the crown out of the hundred of Ardydwy ywch artro, and out of Isartro [co. Merioneth], 1623, and of a rental of assize rents in the vill of Llanaber [co. Merioneth], 1637; pedigrees of the families of Anwyll [of Park, parish of Llanfrothen, co. Merioneth], Wynn [of Gwydir, co. Caernarvon], and Wynn [of Maesyneuadd, parish of Llandecwyn, co. Merioneth ]; maternal pedigrees of several North Wales families; a copy of 'The message of king Hen[ry] the seventh, as he was on his march to Bosworth field, to John ap Meredith, as it is in Edward Puleston's Bk.'; a memorandum, 1676, by Robert Wynne, of a lease of lands called Moel y Glo to Gruff Owen; and a few lines of English and Latin verse.

The manuscript is in two parts. The first contains an English poem entitled 'Faction Display'd', temp. Queen Anne; an account of the Vaughan family of Corsygedol mainly transcribed by Angharad Llwyd, with an original rental of the Corsygedol estate, 1637; a transcript by W. W. E. Wynne of Powell of Ednope's 'Pentarchia' from a manuscript at Brogyntyn, with a letter by the Rev. Robert Williams, Rhydycroesau. The second part comprises a booklet of extracts from a manuscript at Porkington (now Brogyntyn MS 14) in the hand of Lewis Anwyl relating to the families of Anwyl of Park and Owen of Porkington and Clenennau.
