The record of the Sessions held at Usk, 11 June 1577, recites a deed by which Rowland Morgan of Maughen, esq., and Thomas Morgan of the Middle Temple, esq., granted to Thomas Morgan of Grayesynne, gent., and Phylyp Madoc of St Wollows, the manor of and demesne lands of Tredegar, on which a fine was levied.
