In his diary entry for Monday January 13th 1936 AJS recalls a trip to the Telouet and the Caid arranging for a ladder so that he could get on to the battlements to photograph the panorama.
Note
Telouet is a Kasbah along the former route of the caravans from the Sahara over the Atlas Mountains to Marrakech. It lies at an elevation of 1,800 metres and was the seat of the El Glaoui family'.
