Memoranda on p. i gives some of the provenance of the manuscript: It was bought by G. B. Phillimore from Mr William Ridler, book seller, of 45 Holywell St, Strand, in the summer of 1884; William Ridler had bought the manuscript (along with others also bought be Phillimore) at the sale of the collection of Alfred J. Horwood Esq. of the Temple. The manuscript was given to W. R. M. Wynne on 21 October 1888.

A draft translation of Buchedd Gruffudd ap Cynan, with corrections and additions in the autograph of Thomas ap William, Trefriw. Also included in the manuscript are some Latin hexameters; an order in pursuance of a warrant under the Royal sign manual for the payment of a quarter's annuity of £100 to Diana Hotham or her assigns, 28 October 1806; and memoranda concerning the manuscript.
