- [16 cent., second ½] (Creation)
Level of description
Extent and medium
207 ff. ; 204 x 153 mm.
Formerly bound in limp sheepskin, the front cover bearing a stamped lettering, illegible in parts, the first line beginning with 'William...' and the second and third lines appearing to read '...Organ LL....YD / Kynfell'. Now rebound as two volumes.
Name of creator
It is possible that the manuscript belonged at one time to Morgan Llwyd. According to a note on a loose sheet in the manuscript, it is believed to have been once in the library of Pwllycrochon. The suggestion made, by the writer of the same note, that the manuscript was probably written about the time of Edward VI, cannot be substantiated, towards the middle of the reign of Elizabeth would be a better estimate.
