Wordsworth, Breviarum ad usum insignis ecclesiae Sarum (Cambridge, 1879-1886), II, 271-82 (ff. 1-50, one leaf wanting before f. 1 and one after f. 46); antiphons, responses and versicles are all noted for music; written in textura, rubrics and staves in red, plain red initials, perhaps mid 15 cent. Added prayers in cursive hands on f. 50v. Quire 8 (ff. 51-8) is from an earlier manuscript, perhaps first half 15 cent., written in textura with blue initials and red penwork; it begins and ends abruptly, containing part of the litany followed by psalm 118. Quire 9 (ff. 59-63), in a cursive hand, on paper, second half 15 cent., concludes psalm 118 and has collects and a post-communion from masses for the dead (including that for a bishop) and part of the commendation of souls.

The four gospels of the passion as sung in Holy Week followed by the Exultet and other chants for the blessing of candles at the Easter Vigil. Written in a large textura, music on staves throughout. A large illuminated initial at the beginning of each gospel and other smaller illuminated initials.

Typescript 'Lists of the Officers of the Regiments connected with Wales' for the period 1715-1807, compiled from the English and Irish Commission Registers, etc., and edited by W. R. Williams, Tal-y-bont, Brecknockshire, 1937. The volume comprises the following regiments:- 23rd, Royal Welch Fusiliers; 24th, South Wales Borderers; 41st Invalids, Welsh Regiment; 75th, Prince of Wales; 85th, Royal Volunteers; and 94th, Royal Welsh Volunteers.

A list of the sheriffs, 1541-1854, undersheriffs, 1541-1826, 1842-1845, and county clerks, 1541-1784, of Glamorgan, with notices of holding Great Sessions at Cowbridge, 1682-1769, and of the elections of Knights of the Shire, 1737-1820, and an anecdote about Lewis Thomas ab William, sheriff for 1612.

Script of a play first performed on 11 December 2013 by Pendulum Theatre at Aberystwyth Arts Centre, as part of the Open Platform Scheme.

A ledger used originally to record the accounts, 1852-3, of Ochr y Foel Lead Mine, probably in Gwernafield, co. Flint (pp. 1-47), and later the accounts, 1869-74, of Griffith Edwards, shipowner and auctioneer, and Jane Edwards, coal dealer, Barmouth, co. Merioneth (pp. 48-228 passim). The volume was finally used by Lucy Mary Morris (d. 1958), and her daughter Lucy Irene Morris (d. 1971), Porthmadog, co. Caernarfon, to record their finances, 1911-70, including share dividend and income tax returns (pp. 58-153 passim, pp. 259-74). An index is included at the beginning of the volume.

Travel journal, [late 1790s] (watermark 1796), of Richard Cust [stationer and gentleman naturalist, of Westminster and Carlisle], containing his 'Observations on the Picturesque Scenery of North Wales in the Autumn of the year 1783' (ff. 7-73 passim), together with thirteen monochrome wash watercolours of landscapes viewed (ff. 15, 16, 23, 25, 26, 28, 35, 41, 42, 46, 47, 49, 50). The journal primarily describes Cust's impressions of the scenery in terms of the ideals of the picturesque and the sublime; the entries are undated.
As explained in the introductory section (ff. 2-5) the Observations were transcribed by Cust from his original 1783 travel journal, with the illustrations being based on brief sketches. Cust and his unnamed companion(s) travelled by coach from London (f.7) to Llangollen (ff. 8 verso-9), then via Conwy (f. 10) and Bangor (f. 13) to Anglesey (ff. 13 verso-17 verso) and Caernarfon (ff. 19 recto-verso, 22 recto-verso). From there they went on excursions up Snowdon (ff. 24-34 passim) and to [Aberglaslyn] (ff. 34 recto-verso, 37-38) and Llanbenys [Llanberis] (ff. 39-40 verso, 43 recto-verso, 44 verso-51 passim, 54-55 verso), before returning to Conwy (ff. 57 recto-verso, 59-61 verso) and Llangollen (ff. 64-65 verso, 68-69, 70 verso, 72-73). There are descriptions of the castles at Caernarfon (ff. 19 recto-verso, 22 recto-verso), Dolbadarn (ff. 40 verso, 43, 55) and Conwy (ff. 57 recto-verso, 59-60); four of the watercolours also depict Dolbadarn Castle (ff. 41, 42, 46, 47), the others are mostly views of mountains and rocky outcrops. The narrative is incomplete and breaks off after a description of the River Dee at Llangollen (f. 73); additionally, eleven pages have been left blank to provide space for further illustrations (ff. 20, 21, 29, 32, 36, 53, 56, 58, 66, 67, 71, usually with indicative captions written in pencil on the otherwise blank versos).
