File comprising copies of songs which were sung by the Investiture Choir at Caernarfon Castle on 1 July 1969 at the Investiture of the Prince of Wales. The songs include ‘Praise the Lord’, words by Aneirin Talfan Davies and music by Arwel Hughes; ‘Eryri (Snowdonia)’, words by T. H. Parry-Williams and music by Alun Hoddinott, and ‘Rhapsody for a Prince’ by Mansel Thomas. A notebook containing poetry by John Watkins (Ioan Gwent, c. 1831-1889/1890), Rhymni, including 'Pryddest ar y gwlith', which won the chair at the Tregaron and Tredegar eisteddfodau in 1876, together with related press cuttings and correspondence, 1858-1859, and biographical notes by Isaac Herriman, June 1944. This volume may have been intended for publication as the second part of John Watkins's Tlysau Awen (Rhymni, 1880).

Manuscripts and papers of Iolo Morganwg and Taliesin ab Iolo, [16 cent.]-[20 cent., first ¼], comprising correspondence of Iolo Morganwg, 1676-1826; manuscripts and other papers, [16 cent.]-1900, mostly collected or written by Iolo Morganwg, including Welsh and English poetry and prose, pedigrees, grammars, and other literary and personal papers; correspondence, 1809-1864, and other papers, 1761-[1840s], of Taliesin ab Iolo; and family correspondence of Taliesin's grandson, Aneurin Williams, [?1868]-1908.

Diaries, 1967-2010, of Iona Trefor Jones (1925-2011), relating mainly to her work with flowers, together with her reminiscences: ‘Cofio’ (in Welsh), and a scrapbook chronicling her contribution to flower festivals held in Chester Cathedral, Bangor Cathedral, Holyhead Parish Church and others.

A survey of the state of education in, and around, the parishes of Castle Caereinon, Llanfair Caereinion and Manafon, co. Montgomery, carried out, December 1846, by representatives of local nonconformist denominations under the supervision of the Reverend Robert David Thomas ('Iorthryn Gwynedd', 1817-88), minister of Penarth Congregational chapel, Llanfair Caereinion. Memorials on the survey were submitted to the Commissioners appointed by Government to enquire into the state of education in Wales (see 544, below).

The volume includes the title page, dedication and preface (ff. i-v), contents (f. vi), a list of illustrations (ff. vii-xxi; the illustrations are not included), the main text (ff. 1-254) and bibliography (ff. 255-275). There are some manuscript annotations and corrections, with a number of significant additions (ff. 11, 67, 154 verso, 163 verso, 179 and 249 verso). The printed version includes a few additional changes and an index. A revised edition was published in 1944.

John Browne & Sons, iron merchants, Norwich, concerning the detention of a vessel and the insurance effected on a cargo of iron from Newport to Yarmouth; and an invoice, 1 November, 1845, from Clydach Iron Works to Messrs. John Browne & Sons for a shipment of iron from Newport to London.

T. Job; and 'Scherzo', undated.

A collection made by Isaac Mann (1785-1831) of about two hundred autograph letters of Baptist ministers, missionaries (including William Carey) and converts, written 1711-1831; together with a calendar, prepared by F. G. Hastings, with annotations by W. T. Whitley, which was printed in The Baptist Quarterly, VI and VII (1932-1935).
