Note
Cymdeithas Celfyddydau Menywod/The Women's Arts Association began life in 1984 as the Arts Discussion Group within the Women's Committee of South Glamorgan County Council, organising its first annual International Women's Day Festival in 1986. In 1997, it became a registered charity known as the South East Wales Women's Arts Association. The WAA works in partnership with practitioners, communities and funding bodies to support and encourage women in the arts and the wider community wherever isolation and exclusion of women is experienced. It is currently housed at Llanover Hall Art Centre, Cardiff.
