Mae Cynog Glyndwr Dafis (g. 1939) yn aelod gweithgar o Blaid Cymru ers 1955. Am 32 mlynedd bu'n athro ysgolion cyfun ym Mhontardawe, Castellnewydd Emlyn, Aberaeron a Llandysul. Roedd yn gadeirydd Cymdeithas yr Iaith Gymraeg, 1965-1966. Roedd yn AS Plaid Cymru dros Geredigion,1992-2000 (ar y cychwyn cafodd ei ethol dros Geredigion a Gogledd Penfro ar raglen Plaid Cymru/ y Blaid Werdd), ac yn AC (Aelod y Cynulliad) yng Nghynulliad Cenedlaethol Cymru, 1999-2003. Bu'n aelod o Bwyllgor Amaethyddiaeth a Datblygu Gwledig y Cynulliad, 2002-2003. Mae'n awdur nifer o erthyglau a phamffledi ar fywyd gwleidyddol a diwylliannol Cymru, yn cynnwys Migration into Wales: a positive response (1988) ac A sustainable future for Wales (1988) ar y cyd รข Victor Anderson.
