Hiraeth

A copy of a privately printed work entitled Hiraeth, being a collection of poems written by Wyn Griffith in France, 1916-1917; together with letters received from family and friends on reading the poems.

Up to Mametz

Autograph copy of what Wyn Griffith describes as 'the starting point of what became Up to Mametz', an account of his experiences during the 38th (Welsh) Division's attempts to capture Mametz Wood in July 1916. The work was published in 1931.

War diary

One diary, 1917, and fragments of dairies, December 1915-October 1916, and March-November 1918, described by Wyn Griffith as 'All that survives of my War Diary!'. A reference to the death of his brother Watcyn, July 1916, is included. Wyn Griffith's autobiography based on his war experiences is Up to Mametz (London, 1931).
